NPL 2025

The Australian Championship Trophy will be in Sydney this week at the Marconi vs Sydney United game on sunday.
Also on top of the normal match day food offerings the club have organised porchetta and fresh roasted chestnuts, plus the next stage of the renovation of the Marconi club opened this week with a new bar, cafe/pasticceria, gelateria..should be a good day out. They’ve also put on activities for kids etc. much improved level of effort put into match days in recent years building to the championship. Hopefully a decent away contingent as is usually the case, weather looking decent enough atm. 21 possible shower

has Marconi moved there games to Sunday's now permanently?

So much better for them then Saturday nights.

Not sure, the majority of them have been this year, in previous years was mainly Saturday nights. For me personally it makes it much easier to get to games.

Been meaning to ask you by the way, what do you think the chances are of edensor park going back to a grass pitch if the championship ends up being a success ? How do you guys feel about it etc. I realise it’s easier for Marconi because the club has multiple pitches to train and have juniors play on etc also, what’s the latest re the renovation of the main boka stand, are there concrete plans/a time frame on works etc?

After this week's game Marconi have three straight Saturday games then back to Sunday night football until the penultimate game of the season. Penultimate game of the season for them is on a Saturday, then the last game of the home and away season is on a Sunday again.

Caught South Hobart v Clarence Zebras last round.

0-0 at half time, then when I had to leave for a while, SH scored 3 goals!

It was a decent standard for Tas NPL.

Slim to none.

We had problems with the grass due too high volume training and there wasn't enough time for the grass to repair itself between games. The field became a mud bath near the boka stand side and it was costing a lot to maintain. It doesn't help they built the boka stand on the wrong side, so that end of the pitch doesn't get sunlight lol

regarding the renovations, i got no idea on the timelines, nothing has been communicated. Seems as though, that's come to a stand still.

From what I’ve heard the club and the social club are at a stand still in who’s going to pay for the new stand whatever they are making

Yeah, that's another problem. The united President demolished half the stadium without the approval of King Tom board, and there's been a feud since.

Put it this way, the president of Sydney United is a C***
