NPL 2025

From the NPL New South Wales to the AFC Champions League 2✍️🇯🇵

In a surprise move, Japanese import Yu Okubo has signed with an unnamed club in the 2025/26 Asian Champions League 2 and will leave his NWS Spirit FC side with immediate effect ✈️

The 28-year-old forward has had a fantastic spell in Australia scoring goals for both Hills United and Spirit FC and he took his game to another level this year scoring 18 goals in the NPL NSW Men's competition and lifting the premiership in Spirit colours.

In addition, Spirit FC will benefit from Okubo's departure from a financial perspective as the NPL NSW outfit have accepted an undisclosed transfer fee.
Must be more than $50k then..

Underway in Griffith for this “Relegation” 6 pointer!

Only seems to be one player on the bench for Yoogali - so they’ll need early goals, or shut up shop all game to get the draw they need to stay off the bottom

And an early goal it is!

And Bailey with his 2nd tp make it 7!

We must remember, O'Connor finished 3rd last season whilst winning the Cup

Bahahahahahahahha

I would have posted something like this in response if I was Yoogali and not handcuffed online…

📣 Yoogali Soccer Club Stays Up! (if merit actually mattered)

Today, Yoogali SC should have officially secured their position in the Mens NPL, finishing 7th in the NPL and proving on merit that we belong in the expanded top competition next year.

This included a 7-1 dismantling of last year’s Federation Cup winners, and also famous victories against last years premiers Gungahlin United, and this year’s runaway premiers Canberra Croatia.

What makes this even more special is that just a year ago, the club had survived in the top flight after being written off all season. We also showcased homegrown talent across the board, achieving so much in an incredible achievement.

We are immensely proud of the way our players and community have carried themselves—with class, resilience, and determination—letting our football do the talking on the pitch, rather than having a seat on the board

The future is bright. Bring on 2026! 🔵🟡
