New national team kit

Home is clean, like it.

I like the colours of the away but not necessarily together and not a fan of the position of the gradient. I’ve heard/seen that it may represent Uluru which would be a nice touch. Will wait to see the kit proper for full judgment.
That was my assumption as well, though I get that most people mightn’t immediately make the connection(it doesn’t help that the rest of the kit is green, which one def doesn’t associate w/the surrounds of Uluru)

For the away(though this would’ve been more apt for Qatar ‘22 in coinciding w/the Socceroos’ centenary) I’d love to see a modernised take on the Kangaroos rugby-league ripoff-kit worn by the Socceroos in the ‘40s-‘50s, but w/the gradient-scheme of the ODI cricket kit from 20yrs ago as a point of distinction:

Ahhh, here goes the bank balance again....

That away one I just can’t keep myself from coming back and saying yuck again

Just use it as a GK shirt please
Away is good for keeper or warm ups. Something different like the current away pattern but initial look isn't good.

This current kit must be the shortest we've had then. The 2018 qualifying kit at least got a whole cycle.

I wonder what the away kit reasoning is but I'll take green nature and outback. Green or navy are our typical away colours. White and black also work well.

First Dhgate sellers have the new kits but no photos of release. I'll be waiting for the official release and both kits scream potential stuff ups in colour shading.

I think the Matildas will retain the current kit for the Women's Asian Cup because the new kits will be available for purchase from March onwards, which is midway through the tournament, before they transition ahead of the 2027 Women's World Cup cycle unless Football Australia are going for separate designs again.

They surely need the current design to get a bit of tournament exposure. It would all be in the contract but that's a pretty quick switch over. I expect Australia to wear the new one in the March friendlies.

I'm glad we have a more traditional home kit for the World Cup but I like they tried something different.

I think both this current and the new away kits are pretty cool and different.

I still reckon the best recent home kit was the Matildas World Cup one.

The new kit is hard to dislike and brings back fond memories of 2006.

I do feel like it's a bit of a shame to move on from the current kit so quickly though; I really loved the sentiment of giving a nod to our indigenous history.

Most important question, what colour are the socks?

Won't get another good Australia kit until nike are gone & the badge is changed. I predict the actual kits particularly the away one to be noticeably different to this leak that appears to be created on fifakitcreator.com

Green shorts. White socks. Has to be.
I'd say the shade of green used for the shorts needs to be the same as the current Socceroos and Matildas home kits, and as for the away strip, I hope they don't go for the watermelon red shorts because of how garish they'll look on the field.

For the away shirts I think green like the kit then a very narrow orange stripe on the side is ok. White socks.
