Matilda's abroad

Clare Hunt starts for Spurs in their WSL game against Manchester United. Charli Grant ruled out with injury through at least Christmas and not in the matchday squad altogether for Spurs.
 
Jess Nash played a solid full 90 minutes for Sassuolo in their 1–0 away win over Genoa, their second win in the Serie A this season. Jacynta Gala started up front but was subbed off after not looking too good.
 
Anna Margraf still out with injury and not in the matchday squad altogether for Carl Zeiss Jena in their Frauen-Bundesliga game against Köln.
 
Ellie Carpenter played the entirety of Chelsea's 3-0 WSL win over Brighton. Sam Kerr came on at the half for Chelsea, getting an assist in the 73rd minute. Charlize Rule came on in the 67th minute for Brighton.

This morning the UWCL knockout draws were released (two-legged). Arsenal face OH Leuven away in the playoffs in February and should they win will face Chelsea in the quarter-finals in March and April. Lyon will play the winner of Wolfsburg vs Man U.
