Mariners new ownership soon?

People I trust think he is on the money this time.

So in summary.

Charlesworth/Hanlin deal has fallen over. APL takeover with a target to be sold by the end of the season.

5 bidders - QPR, 2 other overseas clubs, Hanlin and a local consortium.
Do you have a preference to overseas or local out of the possible choices?

If it is the right locals - then I would prefer them. Of course that is without knowing who the other European clubs are.

According to a well credentialed source the Mariners football club has been put into liquidation.
I’m not sure if that means there is every chance that there won’t be a club on the Central Coast when the licence is sold.

The club is made of a number of entities. The one that owned the license no longer has the license ans so is in liquidation presumably because it would be trading while insolvent with no money coming in. The APL needs to have the license and provide insurance for the players.

Thanks for clearing that up.

Do the Mariners ALM team train at their "centre of excellence" ??
Usually - don't know now as it is owned by Charlesworth. I suspect he would let them. If not they also train on occasions at Pluim Park and the Stadium. The ALW usually train at Central Coast Sports College.

Thanks for that.

This club has so much potential. I really hope someone comes in and steadies the ship.

They really need to fight for that stadium ownership option. The council sound like absolute pricks, but hopefully something can be agreed to.

Hanlin has put 2 million in the last 6 months u get rid of him he will ask for his money back

Mariners are stuffed

I have a different experience. For a while a cousin lived in Canberra an the later I'd go down to the Australia Day long weekend touch football where we would stay with one of our teams family (high up in the Defence Dept). The point being local knowledge presents a whole different side to Canberra, good pubs. clubs, eateries that aren't tourist traps and areas where the tourist don't know about. This is years ago now so I really don't remember the places. These days if I have to go it tends to be a flying visit.
