snitches get stitches.... Some crying for the moderator seem to be the ones with the most insults to throw around.
I'm not sure you've ever been in a position to make judgements about the best interests of a forum, from being in the position of having to oversee the successful running of entire forums, Mono.

It is different from simply being a participant member of a forum.

Politics is adversarial.

I say this as an almost professional political activist. On one's own side there is often a strong sense of camaraderie though. There has to be teamwork to attain success. It diminishes as one interacts with expedient careerists who have ambitions to pursue seats in parliament.

Yeah I get that. My father was a high ranking union official in the UK for 30 years or so. He was on the harder side of left wing politics.

He knew lots of elected politicians, particularly in the British Labour Party and obviously lots of of people within the union movement.

He didn’t have a very high opinion of elected 'careerist' politicians.

He always said many of them were in it for the wrong reasons. In the 1990's when the British Labour Party started to gentrify under the Tony Blair lawyer fraternity he was seething....

I'm not questioning anyone being a decent human being or not, Mono.

An altruistic comment you made post election displayed your strong credentials for being a decent human being anyway. It was quite moving.

It is when one is in the position of adjudicating what is best for an entire forum/FB site as an admin/mod, compared to simply being a participant. They are different.

He contracted them to build a stadium for Western United. You can understand his desire not to mention them.
At least healthy dose of penicillin can get rid of the clap, some people's illness is a milieu of phantasmagorical proportions:cool:

On a serious note, I've recently seen an active, vibrant rugby league thread on G and G - with a whole lot of unique posters I hadn't encountered before.

If one adds cricket and bookreading threads, we have unique posters in those threads that seldom post in other areas of the forum. G and G is becoming quite diverse. There is minimal 'biff' in those threads and amongst the unique posters too.
