Yeah i guess we are competing with reddit that allows any uncomfortable opinions to be downvoted to oblivion, which allows a comfort zone

Soccahtwitter is actually pretty good and letting me see the spectrum of football opinion. I should tweet more often, but you need to have controversial opinions to get engagement there (opposite of the incentives on reddit) and ive always felt weird writing a controversial opinion on behalf of a community of 422 people lol

Yeah the real sokkatwitter community is fine, like the media experts and actual fans. But like I said the other day, it's the other half of the commenters, the endless "it's shit" rage baiters, that make it borderline unbearable. Likewise Facebook. Instagram seems toned down a little, maybe their comments are moderated better?

Reddit is mostly just people stating their piece but not much discussion because they just use the votes to display their agreeance. Which is fine, a point of difference. But I don't like how topics are buried after just one day, there's no ongoing discussions. You'd have to create a new "pro/rel" thread every day just to talk about it hahaha!

Remember BigSoccer? I wonder if I can remember my password, probably haven't been there for 20 years. I don't know how I never came across 442 back then! Scratching my head about that one. I was on the original Victory forum but drifted away from it and then it got hacked.

Reddit doesn't really allow opposing views when you get dowvoted if buries your comment.

yep holiday season - its pretty much my first day making time to post/comment on some threads.
Plenty of football carrying on abroad - should get on the EPL threads those that don't :)
 
Why doesn't reddit allow other opinions? Is it simply the mods?

Very kind of your long suffering better half to offer me the upgraded accommodation from the shared dog kennel to the garage as temporary lodgings at the back of your dump too, because I've accepted the Hellas assistant coaching job for Oceania. I know you will be ecstatic!

Didn't have a particularly taxing Hellas interview about football methodology, but I had to bang a shed shouting, 'Hellas! Hellas!'

Plus I had to eat a souvlaki in 10 seconds! Another part of the interview was to point out where Paros and Sifnos were on a map too, and drink a Greek Fiz Lager in under a minute.

What a pathetic attempt at racial stereotyping. Despite your self aggrandising there doesn't appear to be anyone on the recent SMFC mission to Auckland that resembles the albino self flagellating monk prick from "The Da Vinci Code" .. Maybe SInisa and Sam and their team don't need someone to explain Geggenpress and Rabona?

FVS forum shut down but if you subscribe to their podcast they have a discord. I reckon there are potential posters looking for a home from there.

During the season there are more Victory supporters actively posting on the Victory thread on the Football subforum of BigFooty than here.
 
anybody experiencing slow post loading at all ? even loading emoji's sometimes to posts.
Last day or so - quite up and down speed loading and I have buckets loads of NBN speed normally.

Mine has been a bit dodgy for several days on and off - but I am battling iiNet and NBN to get my internet fixed and am hotspotting from my phone so I am perhaps not the best judge.

I click Like and have to wait up to 10/15 seconds for it to appear sometimes.
