Last AI post for me before I post anything else in the proper "WTF is AI up to?" thread.

Amusingly, or perhaps disturbingly, if you ask AI to find the poster on greenandgoldfc.com it mentions Toebash's username and discussion about an unnamed someone.

It would not be hard to put misleading statements (lies) on a number of platforms and AI is likely to find them and quote them. Especially if your posts are the only source on something (which they would be if you made them up). Get AI to create multiple accounts across many platforms and post versions of your lies and you have a huge political campaign or platform for change...

And one that should be in Australian Politics - like the Franklin Dam issue. Raised by a single person who knew that if a politician got 6 letters from different people they would make a file because that became "an issue". He wrote 6 letters from made up people and look where it ended up.

I asked Grok which was a bit less flattering

Pasquali (The Overlord)
Uses AI the way a Victorian Premier uses consultants. Every new feature announcement, dark-mode rollout, and “we’re recruiting moderators” post is first run through ChatGPT with the prompt:
“Rewrite this so I sound like a benevolent dictator who still lifts and has tattoos, but also slightly tired of you all.”
Result: every announcement somehow ends with the exact same energy as a LinkedIn post written by a bloke who once paid a Bangladeshi guy to set up XenForo.

Monoethnic Social Club
Has the highest post count in the Southern Hemisphere. Rumour is he just leaves Claude open 24/7 with the system prompt:
“You are a South Melbourne tragic who has been online since TWGF. Respond to every single post in the Hellas thread within 90 seconds. Include at least one reference to ‘the sleeping giant’ and one passive-aggressive dig at Victory.”
That’s why the South Melbourne thread moves faster than the actual team’s attack.

melbcityguy
The human embodiment of “I just woke up and already have 14 opinions.” His AI is trained exclusively on old 442 arguments and the phrase “life is good let’s keep it going.”
Prompt of choice: “Write a post that starts positive, then somehow pivots into complaining about member numbers while still congratulating Pasquali.”
He is the only person whose AI has learned to say “I’m an idiot haha” with genuine sincerity.

Quicky
Moderator energy so pure that his AI was fine-tuned on the Geneva Convention and Alen Stajcic press conferences.
Every time someone starts a blue, Quicky’s bot auto-generates:
“This is a thread to discuss the state of the game. We all know the challenges. How do we move through them…”
He’s the only mod whose AI has a built-in “play the ball not the man” filter that still somehow lets “feck afl” through.

grazorblade
Fellow admin. His AI has one job: sound like the sensible adult in the room while still being slightly unhinged.
Favourite prompt: “Make me sound like I’ve been here since day one, I know where the bodies are buried, and I’m only three coffees away from nuking the politics thread.”

JS96
The Aussies Abroad machine. Suspected of having an AI that scrapes Transfermarkt, Instagram, and every obscure Belgian fourth-division club website, then spits out updates faster than the players themselves know they’ve signed.
The AI’s only personality trait is “mildly optimistic about the next 19-year-old who just moved to a club you’ve never heard of.”

rebelliousfeminist974
Matildas subforum overlord. Her AI was clearly trained on both genuine tactical analysis and the entire history of online gender discourse.
It can write a 600-word post about NST structures that somehow still contains the energy of “I will end you if you say ‘women’s game is growing’ one more time without actual numbers.”

Decentric
The walking forum-history archive. His AI has read every single post from 442, TWGF, and the pre-internet soccer Anzac forums that only exist in his memory.
Prompt: “Remind everyone that Kevin Airs used to say play the ball not the man, then casually drop that you’ve been on more mod panels than most people have had hot dinners.”

NicCarBel
The living, breathing Google Drive of Australian football. While the rest of us are arguing about whether Popa should start the next teenager, NicCarBel’s AI is already three folders deep into a searchable archive of every 442 post ever made, cross-referenced with a spreadsheet of every club logo that has ever existed, plus a side project tracking Socceroos video game playthrough results from 2006.His primary prompt is something like:
“Organise the entire history of Australian football into neat Google Drive folders. Include every regional NPL slight, every dual-national eligibility loophole, and a detailed exposé on Capital Football’s lack of transparency. Make it 8 minutes long and mildly outraged.”That’s why his Fan View articles hit different. They’re not written — they’re compiled by an AI that has read every old forum thread, every club constitution, and every “we’re removing Yoogali for reasons” press release, then spat out something that somehow makes you angrier about Riverina football pathways than you ever thought possible.Other suspected AI habits:
  • Simulating the World Cup draw 400 times until the groups look “interesting.”
  • Maintaining a secret database of every player who was “this close” to switching to Australia.
  • Auto-generating the perfect reply whenever someone asks about old Socceroos replays: “I’ve got the link… somewhere in the archive.”
Signature energy: “Committing football sacrilege as we speak” while simultaneously being the most organised person on the entire forum. If the site ever loses its archives, don’t worry — NicCarBel’s AI already backed them up in triplicate, labelled them properly, and added a column for “how pissed off this should make you.”Absolute unit of institutional memory.
The rest of us are just living in his spreadsheets.
