I think Scotland will struggle to draw either game.

Like many UEFA teams they don’t look comfortable outside Europe,

You have a point, many UEFA sides can look a bit off their game outside Europe, but Steve Clarke's team is built for these tournament scraps. They've qualified for three straight major tournaments with a pragmatic, hard-to-beat style, the rock-solid defence, set-piece threats, and players who rise to the occasion.....

Clarke's plan — stay disciplined, stay compact, and punish on the break works globally, not just on European soil. They've already bagged three points from Haiti which will give them confidence. Geta.point from one or maybe even both of these, and progressing out of the group for the first time ever is very much on the cards.

I know you're big on teams who play with flair and like to see a possession game winning out, but tournament games can also be won by teams that are organised, resilient, and clinical when it counts — exactly Steve Clarke's blueprint. Scotland aren't here to play exhibition stuff.....

They're built to frustrate the stars, win battles, and nick points through sheer doggedness and set-pieces. Good luck to rhem, I've always got a soft spot for the Jocks.....

Thats coz FIFA is racist, they should give Oceania 9 spots as well...
If Oceania get nine spots at the World Cup we'll only be seeing more routs from sides in the other confederations but at least a team like American Samoa would have a chance of making it to football's showpiece event.

Met a guy at my local on Sunday evening in a Scotland jersey, he's headed over to Miami to watch them play Brazil next week. Lucky bastard. He definitely paid for it though...but potentially 100% worth it....

If we end up runners up, we will play thr runners up in this group.
Finishing top two is definitely more favourable for the Socceroos in terms of the permutations for who we'll end up facing in the round of 32 but to be fair group G seems too close to call at the conclusion of matchday 1.

On ranking it could be Egypt, but wouldn't it be nice if it was NZ & lastly replay of 1997 v Iran, would be lovely revenge.

O flower of scotland
When will we see
Your like again,
That fought and died for
Your wee bit hill and glen
And stood against him
Proud Edward's army,
And sent him homeward
Tae think again.
