Got to say I was conflicted when two Oceania countries faced each other in 2006, Graham Poll had a howler that evening.

Statistically, with the exception of the AFC and CONCACAF (who have underperformed), that would be about right if you rolled a dice before the tournament based on qualifications spots - UEFA: 16 spots. CAF: 9. AFC: 8. CONMEBOL: 6. CONCACAF: 6 (including hosts USA, Mexico and Canada).Got to say I was conflicted when two Oceania countries faced each other in 2006, Graham Poll had a howler that evening.
Oh, you know, ill-informed reactionary cooker stuff.
It's a lot more complicated than that so I'm not going to explain the intricacies of colonialism, citizenship and FIFA eligibility rules. I suspect you know all about that because I recall a certain Brazilian Eduardo"vic" who played for Croatia.if a dog is born in a stable is it a horse?
So I try to give you the benefit of the doubt and be courteous, but then you respond as you usually do. The patronising "champ", and racial divisiveness.
He get's the ball, but Salah regains it straight after, so it's a new phase. He then goes for a 2nd tackle and gets the foot.Look at it with the full context. There were two contacts. The first was when the ball was actually won. The second was the photo in that post. I look at it from the context of whether it would have been a pen on review. It would have been close but I'm not sure.
Honestly, I was watching and 10 minutes in thought, we (Argentina) are going to lose this. Nobody looked right including Messi. Fernandez was continually losing the ball, De Paul's passing was atrocious. I think they were pretty much all gassed from the Cabo Verde match.
Still, that has to be one of the most insane turn-arounds I have seen at a WC.
I stand by my original post of you being bigoted.

If you exclude former Yugoslav states, there have been 39 Croat internationals who weren't born in Croatia and 6 outside of Europe altogether. At least two with no Croatian ancestry at all.

If the egypt foul is called, then surely the same applies here. The fact that there has been a contentious call in pretty much all of Argentinas games and those calls have all gone for Argentina is quite damning.
Is Viduka ethnically Australian? Does it matter?Eduardo may have been a citizen of Croatia, but is not Ethnically Croatian, nor will he ever be. What the HNS do and select is out of our control
those 39 Croat internationals are all Ethnically Croatian.
you still in the public sector down in canberra? lol
I thought I recognised you too. It was the bitterness that gave it away.Eduardo may have been a citizen of Croatia, but is not Ethnically Croatian, nor will he ever be. What the HNS do and select is out of our control

Salah definitely doesn't regain the ball haha it's behind him. Defender wins the ball, has eyes only for the ball and Salah trips on his foot as he puts it down. All for a good FIFA corruption conspiracy but there's no way that's a penalty. The foul as well before the Egypt goal, I mean, he steps on his foot, is it harsh? Maybe? Did he step on his foot, yes.He get's the ball, but Salah regains it straight after, so it's a new phase. He then goes for a 2nd tackle and gets the foot.

At least Croatia A won thru that day despite the Ref favouring Croatia B that day, with so many dodgy decisions.Got to say I was conflicted when two Oceania countries faced each other in 2006, Graham Poll had a howler that evening.

You're welcome Richard Reed.I'll wear it with a badge of honor.
Thanks Aladdin
Salah played for it, the ball was already behind him. I'm not saying it was the right call, I'm just saying that it is more complicated than it is being made out. He might have got that call had the Egyptian team not been feigning injury and fouls for the entire tournament.
He does not trip on his foot. There is clear contact. You can't seriously say one is and one isn't. They're the same. What about the clear tug and pull on the arm without being anywhere near the ball that also wasn't called.Salah definitely doesn't regain the ball haha it's behind him. Yes the most unlikeable Socceroo was a Croat. Not only that but Croatia A had a Croatia B agent planted in goal.
He's putting his foot down, once the defender has won the ball it's not his fault Salah keeps going without the ball and trips over him. If that was a penalty, tackles are now banned. They are definitely two completely different challenges, especially when you think in the context of a VAR review. VAR shows old mate steps on his foot, pretty hard to say not a foul. With the pen claim, it's as I've said above, definitely not clear cut and the fact the defender wins the ball (not shown in that brief clip) really settles it for me and I'm guessing the referees. You're welcome Richard Reed.
But that last part shouldn't matter. If it's a foul, it's a foul, and as others were called like this, this should have been called too. Refs don't get to decide not to call things because a player once feigned so they must all be feigning.

Hahah, tripped over him? Come on now. There is clear movement towards Salah and he makes contact with the player. The Argentina player has his foot on top of Salah's. Its 'lear in the picture. That prevents him from moving his foot naturally. The amount of ways people have been going out to defend Argentina this tournament is insane. He's putting his foot down, once the defender has won the ball it's not his fault Salah keeps going without the ball and trips over him. The tugging thing, I agree, though I will add, I would say in every game there's multiple examples of this that aren't called. I actually don't think they have a good answer for the issue so they err on the side of less controversy (not giving 5+ pens a game). But agree, should be a foul.
I'm the same, I too would love Argies out (not Messi, he's just on another planet, even at 39 years old). He's putting his foot down, once the defender has won the ball it's not his fault Salah keeps going without the ball and trips over him.
