So this is some sort of pre tournament tournament ?

Is anyone else not disappointed that 47 other countries are in the world cup but only 1 of the 3 other countries in this tournament qualified, and the 1 that did is arguably the weakest of the 48! Granted Cameroon are decent if they bring their full team in what is a strong confederation, but I'm still concerned whether this is an adequate calibre if opponent to properly prepare.

Yep. Friendlies. Last games before the World Cup.

I'm not too worried. We need to build combinations, particularly given a number of injured players who you would expect to be in the 26 or even starting at the World Cup may not be there. We need their shadows to be ready to take their place at the World Cup.

I think it's perfect. They're competitive teams and should allow a good warm up.

There is a window before the world cup which is normal. They didn't have that for Qatar because of the timing.

Issue is - given where we are, not too many nations will be willing to travel our way. And FA obviously wanted something domestic based as a send off which is generally a tradition of some sorts for us.

Thankfully both Socceroos games are on Free to Air (Network 10) as well.

Good thing is - as far as I’m aware - they put all home games on regardless
