FIFA 2026 WC - general



A lot of content coming now in this week's build up. my time zone means I'll have fatigue and with more matches I fear a bit of tournament fatigue anyway. I'll forget certain teams exist like Cape Verde or DR Congo.
 
Luck of the draw but that's mental Iran NZ get a game at the massive SoFi stadium in LA.

Didn't occur to me NZ had 2 games in Canada. Spain twice in Atlanta then Mexico.
 
France ran out 3-1 winners over Northern Ireland in their second of two friendlies prior to their World Cup campaign getting underway courtesy of a hat-trick from Michael Olise in the 43rd, 49th and 74th minute of the match.
 
That US Paraguay game will be very instructive. Alfaro's Paraguay are very tough defensively while not exactly prolific going forward. If the US cannot break them down it may point to them struggling as the group continues and the pressure ramps up.

Ok so that’s not too bad - I was worried they were only going to be stuck with nuts
