Breaking Barriers - web series 📺

Watching the second episode I'm getting the impression it'll be either Mornington SC or the Morwell Falccons (Falcons 2000 or whatever they're called these days)
Towards the end of the pod I just posted there, he actually let slip it's Berwick.

I think it's brilliant what he's trying to do. He's had experience in multiple areas of football, has the knowledge and connections, been let down a few times, and still has the passion to drive the game forward when not many can or will. I reckon he'll succeed, if not with the club then at least opening up the top tier.

I don't think he will but really applaud him for trying... I rally really really hope he DOES succeed though.

Berwick City?

Having a look at their website it looks like they don't field any senior mens & women's teams. They look like they only field teams in the juniors.

State League 2 southeast. They finished 6th in that division last season. Their first match this season is a month away.

Ah,

That's even lower than what Wrexham was when Ryan Reynolds & Rob McElhenney bought that club.
yes, if we go by pyramid level - they'd be 6th tier across Australia (Wrexham having been in 5th at the start of the series).

Though, since at the moment NPL is the top tier they can actually access, I guess they'd be on the same level.

That's a fair comparison.

Come on Berwick City! This is great for football in Australia, as is the Sutherland Sharks plan. This is what other clubs need to be doing and raises the standards across football. Get on board football fans!
