Big Ange thread

Yes I got to say,
When he went down on the pitch to give it to Nuno an owner instead sitting in his box he marched down to the trench.
I did admire that even though not kosher in today’s woke expectations.
Rumours are he is trying to poach Tsimi....

Given their spend they should be challenging every season.

They have had a nett transfer spend over the last 10 years of over 820million pounds. Liverpool 510 million pounds. Even this year they have only spent 10 million pounds less that Liverpool's 120 million pounds.

Man U are worse 1.399 billion pounds over the last 10 years and almost 230 million pounds this season. Arsenal 1.04 billion pounds over 10 years and over 216 million pounds this season.
yep Levy has spent alot even though many think othewise - in general going back over the years its who they buy that ends up not being as good where they came from.
Maddison for eg, he is a good player but been so inconsistant for them.
Now out with the ACL.
Losing Kane was epic loss.
Considering Ange done OK getting the Europa and his first season.

Here's a brief on Clubs spend of just the last 5yrs and Spurs rank 4th of 20.
LFC were 7th for eg.....

Levy has overspent massively over the years despite everyone saying he's shrewd (N'dombele, Richarlison, Johnson, Solanke, Soldado, etc.) and Spurs manage their players horrifically, devaluing them over the course of their contracts thereby making it extremely difficult to turn them over at a decent resell value.

2 standout for me you mention,
@ Brentford Solanke really made a name of himself having struggled with us.
Returned 72 goals, he's only played 29 games for Spurs for 9.
Train wreck Richarlson, focus's well on the whinging dept and fowling than being productive, utter waste.
Throwing Johnson in isn't too bad but his touch you don't know what to expect at times at this level.

The one thing i'll say about Richy and a lot of the South American players is they'll always turn up a year out from a World Cup :)

Around the time when Antonio Conte joined Tottenham as manager they also signed Djed Spence, a promising defender from Middlesbrough who had been on loan at Nottingham Forest for around the £20m mark.

Conte a very good manager a d usually an excellent judge of players didn't particularly fancy him and Spence ended up going out on loan after struggling to make any impact under the Italian.

When Ange Postecoglou settled into the Tottenham managers job he brought Spence back into the first team squad and the defender eventually worked his way into the starting eleven.

Yesterday Djed Spence was called up for England and Spurs now have a very good defender in their team. I would imagine the player will be forever grateful to Big Ange for recognising his ability when it looked like his top flight career was over before it started.

I'm not particularly one to big up Ange Postecoglou just for the sake of it but I do think that Spence's England call up is a feather in his cap...

The Ange derangement syndrome persists on Spurs social media, with many weaving Ange into the narrative for yesterdays loss at Bournemouth.

It really is brain rot for lack of a better term.

Not that there’s anything concrete but trawling the socials it looks like Ajax fans are already fed up with Heitinga and many list Ange as a suitable candidate.

Fenerbache fans also wanting in on Big Ange.
