Big Ange thread

If Frank is backed with Kudus, Palinha, Eze & Savinho, then there's little room for excuses.
Sky Sports News's Transfer Show talked about this extensively earlier today.

Apparently Eze's buyout clause is £60m plus a further £8m in potential add ons. The SSN reporter said Levy is baulking at that number and wants to 'negotiate'....

I can't see Palace who are owned by a couple of US billionaire's selling their English international for less than the buy out fee when he's under contract.

Savinho cost Man City £30m and he's still well under contract and sources within City say they're wanting around £60-70m which Levy wont pay....

Levy is a tight budget type of chairman but he's dealing with extremely wealthy people here and I don't think he'll get both or even one of those players at his prices...

I appreciate that for sure, it’s a different landscape these days.

But I also think Levy can not afford for Frank to fail due to negligence at board level and if that means granting him a record transfer window no other Spurs manager has ever received before then so be it.

it’s all about optics with Levy. IF Frank is backed, then all the pressure is on the manager.

I also back Frank to do great things with Spurs if he gets the players.

“One piece is enough chef.”

Gotta love the bloke.

I still see the Celtic fans having utmost respect for the big man online. It’s far less from Spurs fans even though he delivered their first taste of silverware for 17 years.
Despite the scoreline last night, Burnley did pose spurs some troubles. You couldn't have an easier opening game when you play a promoted side at home. By the end of the season they(spurs fans) will start quoting ange about needing experienced players if they don't sign eze this window.

Daniel Levy has a 30% stake in ENIC International Ltd which in turn owns 85% of Tottenham.

Tottenham are valued at around £2.6 billion which makes Levy's stake worth approx £660 million give or take a few quid..

Daniel Levy's initial investment in ENIC International Ltd was £35 million.

If Spurs board decided to off hire Levy as club chairman he's still made over £600m in terms of share value on the venture.

No pressure on Levy regardless of how they're going in terms of success on the pitch. Not many people make this kind of money out of football investment. Levy is the master of the game when it comes to football venture capitalism.....

Daniel Levy has ruined the Eze deal by not triggering the full £60 + £8m add ons release clause.....

He apparently offered £55 +8m!

The optics of this transfer for Spurs is terrible.

FMD Arsenal fans will be loving this transfer for eternity....

Ange Postecoglou will be having a rye little smile to himself this weekend.

Who knows how the Greek slimeball will treat Ange but if Ange gets 2 years employment out of then it's alright.

The Greek owner had a spack with Nuno last season and I’m actually surprised he’s still there for I expected Nuno gone end of last season.
I would t mind Ange taking that gig but he may think it’s below him.

My understanding is that the Forest fans love Marinakis.

This was reiterated by the Times football writer and former Forest player Gregor Robertson on 'The Game' podcast this week.

They see Marinakis as a hands on owner who is as passionate about the game as they are. Unusual in today's highly corporate Premier League ownership systems.

Yes I got to say,
When he went down on the pitch to give it to Nuno an owner instead sitting in his box he marched down to the trench.
I did admire that even though not kosher in today’s woke expectations.

Frank already has a better set of players with some very strong transfers. He'll profit from Saar being developed under Ange.

For me it's less about who's better between Ange and Frank and more that they're both good with their personalised styles.

I guess they need to make top four minimum

Given their spend they should be challenging every season.

They have had a nett transfer spend over the last 10 years of over 820million pounds. Liverpool 510 million pounds. Even this year they have only spent 10 million pounds less that Liverpool's 120 million pounds.

Man U are worse 1.399 billion pounds over the last 10 years and almost 230 million pounds this season. Arsenal 1.04 billion pounds over 10 years and over 216 million pounds this season.
