Portsmouth supposedly still hopeful to get Triantis according to a couple of their fan news websites. Their hopes are based on Sunderland’s link to some big name midfielders who would take up the midfield space there and push Triantis out. It all sounds quite hopeful and dependant on key decisions by a lot of parties, but they are saying he’s ideal for Pompey’s style and survival/push up the ladder this season. It’ll be interesting to see where he ends up.

As long as he gets starting minutes I'm not overly fazed with where he ends up at this point. Can't risk warming the pine and only get Cup minutes at Sunderland heading into a World Cup year and then scrambling for a loan come January.
