Nobody's saying there's no racism in Australia. I've copped racism too but I can tell you it's a very small number of people. As for the Anglo-Saxon thing, I'm less than half English by the way, I've got English descent from one of my mother's parents, Italian from the other one and French descent from both of my father's parents.

I have friends and colleagues who are from all different backgrounds. They personally claim they don't experience racism that much in real life.

Maybe so, I don't do social media in any way for this reason and very rarely discuss these things with people I don't normally hang around with... Maybe racism is still festering away in the undercurrent of our lives but it is NOT so visible as to cause the distress of the past, surely? On the weekend there were protest in Melbourne as you know, from boths sides, all over the news.. but I can tell you that 99.99% of Melbourne didnt even know it was happening or gave a flying fuck about either side really... The beaches were full, the shopping centres, swimming pools, parks, everyone out enjoying the day off. Wen't through the whole day without ONCE hearing about "invasion day" until I turn the tellie on... and then immediately change the channel.
