Australian news and politics.

Why are we conflating Zionism with Judaism/Jews in 2026? Lemme guess, you read the Protocols and thought it was doctrine? And they were mostly white. From lived experience most Indigenous people don't give a shit about "Invasion Day".

This feels like a Reddit thread.

What are you on about? Moving the goalposts like you did for zimbos.

How about you actually address some of the points I made?

Start with the first sentence and work your way down.

You quite literally said Jews control the media. That is antisemitism.

Here what i actually said clown.

FWIW they probably don't but they have a disproportionate impact on the media here. Ita Buttrose and plenty of others will happily confirm this.

Your last sentence is something we've known forevermore. The sooner the next generation question and boycott such media, the quicker these ideas can fade. Unfortunately the news media is funded and interconnected with so much society consumes that the money is there for them to spread their garbage.
The next generation tries, but so many people support it. Not just through how we consume media, but how we spend our money and how we vote. I bet you subconsciously contribute to it too. All these talking points that the right uses, comes from this media.

Which lived experience is this? Invasion day has been held for longer than Australia Day. First Nations people overwhelmingly support the day. They may not go to the rally, but they support the day.

The sad reality is simple. Why can't we just acknowledge that it's a day or mourning and hurt and move the date. Australia day has been generated on many other days, not just January 26

Moving the date won't solve the core issues not to mention protest groups protesting on another chosen day. Like charities, they don't really have an interest in solving their cause. How can they make money or protest once an issue is eradicated. Call me cynical but a lot of causes are not genuine and about money and power and need the issue to be ever present to thrive.

More and more awareness campaigns are what's needed then. The average person isn't going to go to extra efforts. It's just like trying to avoid nestle. Sure in the last decade I'll examine certain labels or not purchase this or that.

In regards to media you won't see me contributing to left wing denialist organisations either. The German public broadcaster can get stuffed yet there's a mandatory 18€ a month fee for every household even if you don't have a TV and it's anchored by the constitution. Unlike UK TV licencing which is a bit more laughable at enforcement, the German one will absolutely stuff up your credit rating and have you fined and people have gone to prison for it.

I don't think people really care about each other in day to day life. Look how people behave on public transport

Jordan Peterson once said it on Q&A that a lot of people follow protest trends to look cool to their friends and he's right. The real people are rarely on stages but rather out there affecting tangible change and working harmoniously in their communities.

Experiments are done and there is still a lot of good in our society in willingness to help in an emergency but there's also a lot of superficial behaviour and selfishness amongst us.

It's interesting how everyone becomes so rational when a white person commits an attack. There have been multiple studies that prove the disparity in reporting of attacks, and the selective use of words and language dependent on race or ethnicity.

You did not include the full definition though. Terrorist attack is defined as the use of violence or threat of violence against civilians, property, or infrastructure, intended to advance a political, religious, or ideological cause while coercing a government or intimidating the public.

I bolded the parts you missed out on, and italicised the parts that this attack falls under.

It was a bomb, planned and thrown at an Invasion Day rally. An even rooted deep in politics. I hardly think he was throwing it at this event not to make a political point. He also threw it in a public gathering presenting a very clear motive to intimidate the public. This is pretty obviously -by the definition- a terrorist attack,
I cant even begin to imagine how terrible it must be going through life defining people based on the pigmentation of their skin. You probably DO judge books by their covers?

What Indigenous people have you actually met? Marcia Langton, Thomas Mayo and Lydia Thorpe? The majority of the ones I've met support Australia Day.

We support them how we vote? What? The Greens have one seat left in the House and they only hold it on Labor preferences because the LNP had a leader who was too conservative and the party was not good at campaigning.

Exactly, look at their signs. They want to "abolish Australia" and call everyone who disagrees racist. They burn the flag. Same as the pro-Palestine protests, sure some of those people are making a reasonable point that the war should end and there should be two peaceful states, but a lot of them are just woke and some are even antisemitic Islamists. We should deport these fanatics to Gaza.

Clown? At least I contribute to the forum other than sitting in a political thread all day.

And you also said: "Yeah, yeah they don't control the media. Ask Angela Lattouf about that." You said that before that. Jews have the same impact or perhaps even less impact on the media than Muslims. Jews and Israelis are not the same either.

You still haven't addressed a single thing I said.

And Angela Lattouf was sacked due to a coordinated campaign by Jewish lobbyists. That's a stone cold fact whether you like it or not.

So do they have influence or not?

Jewish or Zionist?

Jewish is someone who either follows Judaism or is ethnically Jewish. Jews have been the most consistently and globally oppressed group in history. They live across the world and have origins in what is now Israel, though many periods of migration saw many move across the globe. There are even Jews in China!

Zionists are people (whether Jewish or non-Jewish) that support Israel. However, the term has since been used insultingly. Nowadays it carries negative connotations so the word "Zionist" usually refers to someone who consistently defends Israel rather than someone like myself who believes Israel should exist but should be peaceful.

Jews have many different political beliefs. Other than stuff like "antisemitism is bad and Nazis were some of the worst people in history" (which is true) they don't have anything they universally believe. Some Jews support Israel, some don't (even some Israeli Jews are anti-Zionist). There are even some literal rabbis who are opposed to Zionism and describe themselves as Palestinian Jews rather than Israeli Jews.

Many anti-Zionist scholars are Jewish. One of the most proactive critics of Israel and Israeli influence on US foreign policy in the US Congress is Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders who is an Ashkenazi Jew. He refers to what is happening in Gaza as a genocide and backed Zohran Mamdani in the New York mayoral election.

Please be careful with your words.

Also show me where it says 'zionist' in the title of this lobby group.

Didn't answer my question.
To answer whether they have influence: while Jews are one of the better represented minority groups in business and politics, they still only make up 0.46% of the Australian population. They physically can't have much influence over the Australian media.

Zionists are not all Jewish. American Evangelicals and Trumpists are the biggest Bibi simps in the world and they're Christian.

Names can be misleading. Have you heard of the JCA? They were founded in February 2024 to represent non-Zionist Jews and support the Palestinian cause.

Furthermore the I in AIJAC stands for Israel. Netanyahu thinks he speaks for all Jews but he doesn't. Hamas claim to speak for all Palestinians but they don't.

Ask any politicians or media organisation if they influence and get back to me.

Lattouf was sacked directly because of Jewish lobbyists. That's a fact. Something you want to conveniently gloss over.

What's this lobby group for by the way if they're not trying to influence government policy and public opinion?

Why are they flying politicians to Israel and donating money to all political parties? You are so naive.
