Australian Dual Nationals 🇦🇺🏳️

I think another important factor is the overseas travel back to Australia especially during the qualifiers that aligned with their club seasons. Time and time again players come overseas over a day of travel after a game and have to play two games for the Socceroos and end up getting injured during the camp or shortly after they arrive back to their clubs. It's unfortunate truth about Australia's geography in respect to the rest of the footballing world.

I'd suggest this one reason why Triantis, Volpato and Robertson have been hesitant to commit on top of a myriad of other things but like Bos and Circati who have been injured due to over-exposure to travel, it's a risk you have to make. They are necessities to their clubs and it's cut-throat, if you are a fringe starter/bencher then risking missing games due to traveling to and from Australia constantly is not going to help your club career and therefore your international career. Out of the three Robertson is the one I'd want but Volpato would be a nice piece too. Triantis I don't consider a huge loss.

robertson is actually my lowest priority since I think we have a lot of young technical central mids coming through, hopefully one will be as good or better

I don't know as many players with the profile of vopato or triantis in particular

Australia is that bit further ahead but they're flying business class and Australia have used the best in sport science for these trips like the return journey from Honduras.

What does the long distance travel have to do with Bos and Circati getting injured? It's not like their bodies seized up on a journey then they got hurt next game. It was pure bad luck.

If clubs are going to carry on about Australians travelling then they shouldn't sign them. It's not as far but would they afford the same sentiment to someone from Chile or Japan?

Bit of an older study but I'm surprised by the results.

The Bos injury against Lebanon was an unfortunate jolt and I don't know the circumstances or timing of his season ending injury. Circati was briefly after the international window in training. Injuries are often idiosyncrasies.

Jesse Curran played a full game for Ratchaburi in a 3-1 win over Muang Thong in the Thai Top Flight.

Dane Ingham played a full game for Sabah in a 0-8 loss to Johor Darul Ta'zim in the Malaysian Top Flight.
 
Charles M'Mombwa played a full game for Floriana in a 3-1 win over St Patrick in the Maltese Top Flight.

Marin Jakolis was not in the squad for FC Noah in the Armenian Top Flight.

That's right. It's something of a feeder league or for match practice with all the reserve sides. It needs reforming.
 
Pakistan need all the help they can get. I was surprised how poor they were in qualifying.
