Aussies abroad 🌍🦘

Wing back is probably a good fit for Silvera. He's very athletic. Probably gets a bit more time on the ball when he pushes forward. His end product is less of an issue.

Yep, they are the biggest in terms of memberships, over 110k members.
I've read a few biographies of Aussie footballers. In the past HS and Dynamo Zagreb were the 2 most successful Croatian clubs. Both usually compete well in the Champ League or/and Europa league comps.

They are not in the Big Five UEFA leagues, but are in the 30-40 Big Clubs in UEFA in smaller leagues, like Portugal, Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, et al, who play quite a lot of intercontinental football in UEFA. They have been considered really good clubs for Aussies to play at. These 30-40 clubs, like Ajax, Sporting Lisbon, Celtic, Shahktar Donesk, Benfica, PSV Eind, Feyenoorde, etc, are as good as getting a gig in the Big Five leagues.

Good news that any Aussies are playing at either club!

You've said that before, at least give a reason why you think he's average.
I already have. Adds nothing else if he doesn't score. Needs plenty of chances to score, mainly tap ins. I don't think he has the dog in him. Seems a little selfish... ie doesn't work hard for the team.

Considering how desperate we are for RWB options in Popa’s 5-at-the-back system, it would be fantastic if Silvera could remain as a wing-back permanently.
I much more like a player like Silvera at RWB in Popa's system than Miller - the difference in what you get going forward would be incomparable.

Can either of them actually defend though?

Strain still the best pick for me - against the better teams at least.
Well hopefully we are about to see how Silvera shapes up in a role that will be very similar to what he could do in Popa's system.

Agree Strain seems the best fit and likely most reliable of the lot - but what do we know right.

he seems pretty good for poppas system since he likes the half spaces more than the channel

Irankunda might have more trouble adjusting tbh

Often when these pacey guys get wing back gigs they have 2 or 3 mids with his stamina to held defend. Devlin won't be called up but Irvine, Balard and others have a massive tank.

Does Karacic come into the frame now that he's starting for one of the biggest clubs in Croatia?
He's always on the short list. 2 games stand out. Japan away and Tunisia where he was so calm and didn't have issues. He's a steady player.

I'm glad Miller has delivered and he's favoured regardless of the fitness of Karacic, Strain and others.

Cam Devlin starts for Hearts in their Scottish Premiership opening fixture against Aberdeen. Nieuwenhof not in the matchday squad altogether. Milanovic starts for Aberdeen, as does Kusini Yengi. Nicholas Suman on the bench.

Claudio Braga at Hearts is Scottish according to my app. He's Portuguese of course. You could almost forgive them as Antti Niemi was apparently Scottish.

Yengi with a good 10 behind him so hopefully some link up and feeds.
