Aussies abroad šŸŒšŸ¦˜

Silvera subbed off at half time. He was a scapegoat in a terrible half for Boro. From that first half, I could think of 20 players in the A-League who would have done better than most of the Middlesbrough players. None of them could hit a 10m pass. Silvera was actually quite good compared to his teammates. He made positive runs in behind and put in a dangerous cross. He got fouled when he skinned his marker and kept possession well under pressure. FotMob says he got 5.9. That’s very misleading. He was not the problem with that team. I just couldn’t understand how many turn overs they had in their own defensive third just from poor passes. I’ve turned the game off now.
Was horrible viewing while Silvera lingered in decent space but wasn't served. Boro's passing gave me headaches.

It's another first time left foot slot. He's perfect for an inside forward role and if we can get the ball to him with some space a hit is worth taking. Bos overlaps and can cross with the ball likely bobbling through and Segecic is waiting for it.

Thanks for the report, despite depressing reading, Boonjeh.

I think if Segecic continues to score goals and bolster his attacking stock throughout the season he'll be worth a lot more than that and European powerhouses will no doubt be throwing more money at him.
Watch his fee go even higher when he opts for Croatia. If Popovic doesn't pick him in March, it gives Croatia a chance as a world cup is right around the corner. This is a deadly part of the cycle.

His 360 interview was geared towards Australia but the wording was more of a could than a will. I hope it was just himself being reserved that he knows he's got work to do to get his spot.

He just had 3 very good games to be fair, games come thick and fast in the championship
I think I've just read an article on 360 Football where Seg says they've already had 25 games in the Championship this season - the same as the entire AL season. Also, how it prepared him for games every 3 days going to Netherlands at an earlier age, then returning to the Aus AL. Seg said Aussies have a game every 7 days in the AL. Then have a lot of recovery and rest.

Sadly, in the same article, the same issues arise with so many Aussies getting injured in Europe, which the Sports Scientist, Martin Field?, and Danny raised in different G and G podcasts. Someone suggested that UEFA clubs will stop buying Aus players, because they are so injury prone in UEFA seasons. However, I have read Eredivisie only has 34 games per season and Scandinavia only plays 26 games a year in home and away fixtures.

It is only English Championship that has 50 games per season, isn't it?

Not another one!
