Asian Champions League 1 and 2 thread

Haha can't believe that - Beach is a gun he got a little touch on it
did he really?

Has the decision making and distribution of ryan to go with some decent shot stopping. Won't know till we see him at a higher level but he might be the real deal

the finishing woeful from both teams so far.

Beach with a very mysterious yellow card there

Aussies the last three matches showing great composure handling terrible refereeing

Melbourne City now up to second place in AFC Champions League Elite group A after the 2-0 win over Johor Darul Ta'zim, level on points with Vissel Kobe who still have their game against Shanghai Shenhua tomorrow and could extend their lead at the top of the table.

Australia just a couple of wins away from overtaking china actually given the 2017 points are about to drop out

only 8ish points behind thailand too

As a city fan no excuse from now on re ACL crowds. The team is now 2nd in all of the East and if they decide to keep games at AAMI (they should move them like 2023) the already limited allocation should be filled up for the last home game. Regardless of the terrible timeslots and ticket prices the performance is there for once in Asia!

Kuen has had a stinker and nobody else has really done much but a wins a win
Saw the first 15 mins and the last 10, which were good for Melb City.

However, on the highlights reel of 3 mins, Johore had a lot of chances in between.

Poor home crowds!

I think G and G's Melb City Guy attends all of the ACL fixtures though.

3 wins in succession is a good achievement, particularly given how young some of the City players have been.

Supposedly, it hasn't happened for any Aus club since 2020.

Medin Memeti scores in the second minute of second half stoppage time to extend Melbourne City's lead to 2-0.
I didn't think he would try a shot from there. He blasted it high into the roof of the net.

He did an inside stepover, not wrong footing the defender, who was still half in the way blocking Memeti's vision, but he still blasted it in. What a goal.
