Asian Champions League 1 and 2 thread

I don't see why they won't be given a license based on a quick search of the license requirements but they will have to 100% move their games to AAMI Park.
how much would 3 games cost?

participation prizes are actually pretty decent for acl 2 these days right? Wins give a good bonus

doesn't sound outrageous to be honest
The only issue imo not knowing the financials is the squad itself.

If they are still part-time, they will have find 26 full time players because the away trips - usually 10-12 hours, minimum (ACL rule) of having 1 full day for presser and training session at the ground, matchday at 5-9pm and then the trip home the day after. That's 4-5 days missing from work for those players.

I’ve heard most away trips to Asia can cost the club up to $100K (Japan/Korea/China obviously more expensive than SE Asia), so how can Bergers realistically afford that?

which would mean off that article (if approved),
ACL Elite: Newcastle Jets - league phase & second Australian based club - playoff
ACL Two: third Australian based club - group stage

AFC Professional Football Committee meeting next Friday
AFC Executive Committee meeting Tuesday April 29th (two days after final Sunday)

we will know lot more in detail then i'd imagine.

"However, it’s extremely unlikely Heidelberg will meet the necessary criteria to compete in Asian competition."

Ouch, that's very disappointing. I wonder what parts they can't meet.
Finishing as the next-best A-League team? Actually, given the “extremely unlikely” part I’d say it’s due to stadium or facility requirements.

Wouldn't they just play at AAMI? Maybe they don't want to pay to play there? Surely some sponsors would jump at the chance to cover some expenses, possibly a once in a lifetime opportunity for the club.
