Age grade Matildas teams thread

Two changes for the Junior Matildas. Jada Taylor and Keira Sarris come on in the 64th minute for Leyla Hussein and Frida Karaberis respectively.
 
The Junior Matildas got the job done 2-0 over Vietnam in their under-17 Women's Asian Cup quarterfinal courtesy of goals to Frida Karaberis in the 28th minute and Leyla Hussein in the 31st minute to advance to the semi-finals where they'll have a rematch against Japan who defeated South Korea 1-0 in their quarterfinal. The result also sees the Junior Matildas book their place at the under-17 Women's World Cup in Morocco in October where they'll make their tournament debut after securing qualification for the first time in their history, joining the Joeys in qualifying for the under-17 World Cup this year.

The Junior Matildas' starting XI for our rematch against Japan in the under-17 Women's Asian Cup semi-finals has been named. Three changes are made to the playing list from our quarterfinal win over Vietnam, with Charlotte Bradshaw, Keira Sarris and Harper Pell coming into the squad in place of Frida Karaberis, Leyla Hussein and Theodora Mouithys Mickalad. Willa Pearson again leads the line as captain, with Dali Gorr Burchmore starting between the sticks.
 
Nanami Kurita scores again in the 38th minute for Japan to get her brace and extend their lead further to 3-0. Misaya Takeda with the assist.
