True, FUL.
If one is coaching at a serious level, a coach is always looking for an edge.
Without all the analyses and updates in tactics/methodology/data usage, a pro team/club/country would inevitably stagnate and lose competitiveness.
Totally get that Decentric.
My nephew was taken on by Hartlepool United in England’s League.2 as a 16 year old.
He said the amount of time spent inside doing the technical and tactical analysis was mind blowing even at that level...
Classroom sessions covering tactical understanding, game principles, positioning, and decision-making through video clips and discussion. The whiteboard diagrams, team values, nutrition basics, mindset work, and goal-setting. Interactive sessions of questions, analysis, reflection and
helping players think the game better, not just play it physically....
He never made it as a pro and is well into his 20's now playing at the non league level and the training is not as intense but they get video clips sent to them to review of recent matches, training sessions etc
Things like shape and defensive structure, set-piece roles, pressing triggers, and opposition strengths. It’s less theory, more clarity understanding your job, improving decision-making, and tightening team organisation around limited training time.and that sort of thing but wow....
They don't just turn up at training .and start doing a few sprints then spend 40 minutes playing 6 a side anymore....
