I don’t normally talk about referees, but the refereeing standard this season looks to have dropped off.

Sakai should have got a red card but somehow it was given as a yellow card even with VAR as an option.

Western Sydney Wanderers had one player to be omitted from the extended playing list and Ryan Fraser ended up being that player not in the matchday squad altogether for them.

Brisbane are in genuinely terrible shape as a club. Nothing is working. Valkanis surely must go at season's end but I really don't know how these club is resurrected from here. It is absolutely in the gutter.

The Bakries need to hand the licence back to the APL/FA.

Brisbane will not fold like Western United did as Brisbane are too important to the league but it's plain and obvious the Bakries need to go and the club gets new owners.

To be fair Adelaide United's A-League Men match against Auckland FC was the second game in a doubleheader with the women's team playing their last game of the Dub home and away season so that may have contributed to the higher attendance.

Friday night and them flying up the ladder and playing to be 1 point behind 2nd and stay ahead of victory wasn’t potentially a tiny bit of a factor?
