2026 UEFA WC Qualification

Scotland Greece in a crucial game. Czech Republic hosting Croatia in a must win game if they wish to challenge the latter.

Finland saved themselves to beat Lithuania and keep on Poland and The Netherlands heels.

Bosnia lead in Cyprus and they're on an absolute run.

Why is Grant Hanley still playing for Scotland? Woeful footballer.

Wow Scotland take the lead against Greece after being 1:0 down.

Euro qualifying very unforgiving, Greece played well but after 3 games the campaign is over.
Ridiculous rushed format this time. If anything, a few UEFA Nations should have to playoff against other confederations. Having Greece travel to Honduras would be interesting.

Again, I blame the UEFA Who Cares Cup

Exactly. I think such a thing has merits but needs slimming down. Friendlies in UEFA got a bad rap.

Maybe do it just once in the cycle to ensure qualifier safety nets and then the other year allows friendlies or rest.

I think I could deal with that. Once in the cycle - and honestly, preference would be after the World Cup and before the Euros. Have it essentially be the qualifiers for Euros.

North Macedonia get a goalless draw in Belgium. Belgium with a game in hand and 3 light opponents so they'll probably finish first.

Well done to the Faroe Islands beating Montenegro 4:0, equalling their record win.

Ukraine saved themselves late against Iceland which is unfortunate.

You wait until next year when the September and October breaks are combined. Two weeks in September I believe.

I'm alright with that provided the group formats are better. This cycle has only 3 windows. Also, next year will be Nations League and possibly early Euro qualifiers. UEFA's issue is a giant in a small group and just the winner to qualify allows no room for error.

I don't like the idea of a round to remove the minnows, they add something nice to UEFA and some have performed better in cycles. It's all messed up with expansion now but what they should have done was have UEFA second placed ranked sides have a payoff against CAF and AFC or something like that.

Wales should be fine via the nations league. Moldova is currently the 4th Playoff team via that path.
