Kirsty Fenton making her return to play for Sydney FC after sustaining an injury last week, along with Shay Hollman who is again promoted to the extended squad, but Willa Pearson and Riley Tanner have both been forced out as they have to serve one-match suspensions this week for too many yellow cards. Perth Glory will be without Onyinyechi Zogg, who is serving a suspension after being given a straight red card last week, along with Nat Tathem, who has been ruled out with a quad issue. Bente Jansen makes her return from injury for Brisbane Roar, who should also be welcoming back Angie Beard from the Women's Asian Cup, however Chloe Lincoln is unavailable as she's with the Matildas in the final against Japan.

Adelaide United will be without Emilia Makris for their match against Canberra United on the road after she sustained a moderate ankle ligament injury in their 2-1 A-League Women matchday 19 win over Perth Glory, ruling her out for the next four to six weeks, whilst Fiona Worts has secured a transfer overseas, reportedly to South Korea, for a club-record fee and will leave Australia on Friday. Western Sydney Wanderers will be welcoming back their contingent of Women's Asian Cup players in Wang Ying, Yuan Cong and possibly Janae DeFazio, with Michelle Heyman and Holly McNamara returning to Canberra United and Melbourne City respectively also, dependent on their involvement with the Matildas on Saturday. Caitlin Karic is unavailable for City as well, and set for a short stint on the sidelines after sustaining a minor hamstring injury midweek.
