2025–26 A-League Women — regular season matches

Western Sydney Wanderers came from behind to defeat Sydney FC 3-2 in the return leg of the Sydney derby and are now level with them on 12 points, but they still remain bottom of the ladder due to inferior for and against.

I'm calling it. We're getting the spoon.

I will not be attending any more matches this season until we win. Send the club a message.

Adelaide United defeat Melbourne City 2-1 in their game and inflict the visitors' third loss of the season courtesy of goals to Fiona Worts and Ella Tonkin in the 9th and 49th minute respectively. Melbourne City remain top of the table, but their lead has been cut to just three points, whilst Adelaide United move to second on the ladder with 20 points.
Appreciate your ‘blow by blow’ posting and, it would seem, Melbourne City aren’t invincible especially as Holly MacNamara was kept scoreless.
I’m not liking the match scheduling as it’s difficult to see what’s needed to achieve finals placing.
I’m sure the coaches aren’t too happy either.

So fucking sad that we keep losing clubs.

Imagine if Canberra win it all though. They're fifth (so in the finals as of now) but technically equal second because second through to fifth are all on 18 points and separated by goal difference. They beat City too so they're capable of beating anyone.
I'm going for Canberra if they win it'll hopefully bring more positive attention on them

Canberra United and 10-player Melbourne Victory scoreless at the half in their game, with Claudia Bunge sent off in the 32nd minute for the visitors for a professional foul. She becomes the first player to be given a straight red card this season and second player overall to receive a red card after Tegan Bertolissio.

Kennedy White scores in the 49th minute to give Melbourne Victory a 1-0 lead in the second half of their game against Canberra United. Kayla Morrison with the assist.

Sasha Grove scores the equaliser for Canberra United in the 62nd minute. Scores are now level at 1-1 between Canberra United and Melbourne Victory.

Mary Stanic-Floody subbed on in the 64th minute for Canberra United, replacing Nanako Sasaki and subsequently scoring to give the home side a 2-1 lead. Michelle Heyman with the assist.

Phoenix are a very attacking team and enjoyable to watch I must say. As a Nix fan yourself I’m sure you’re enjoying the season so far!

Wellington Phoenix women definitely doing better than the men's side this season and I think bringing in Bev Priestman as head coach along with the new signings has helped since they now have the best for and against in the entire comp despite injuries to key players.
