2025/26 A league season

the ccm played a closed door friendly with sydney

they started redmayne over peraic cullen

will be cheering for ccm to get flogged every game if they play a geriatric over peraic cullen given how weak our goal keeping prospects are

yes I know, Redmayne is an aussie hero, nothing personal against him just worried about the future

Hopefull dpc wins the 1 jersey. Will set his development back quite a bit having a year on the bench and im not convinced redmayne is better

Redmayne (36), Donachie, Roux and the injured Sainsbury (all 32) are the only players in the squad over 25. If DPC is playing you would hope to have Donachie and Roux on the field.

I get where your at pj re playing young er GK's but its proven all over they keep on keeping on even to 40.
Even your PJ still earned his last cap @ 41yrs - same applies for quite a few others but yes I know not the same levels.
MS hung up his 1st team gloves @ 43 :)

Anyway good luck to your coasties this season - I may even turn up to a game now and then for the heck being I'll spending many a weekend not too far from Gosford.

Patrick Beach is the future. Although I will probably have heart failure when he ventures out into the mid-field. Reminds me of the Paraguayan goalkeeper Jose Luis Chilavert.

I - unlike a few other Mariners supporters think Redmayne is a good signing. I like DPC and think he will grow into a very good keeper. But we do have a very young side so would want some seniority with Donachie and Roux on if he is the keeper. Redmayne will always be in the matchday squad either starting or on the bench. Same with DPC. My concern last year was that DPC was the only keeper I felt comfortable with and an injury or suspension would leave us very vulnerable. Hopefully they push each other.

I suspect that Redmayne (a qualified teacher) will be looking at this contract as an opportunity to move towards the local sports high school.

Yep wiggle is good experience for a young squad - training and all not just games.
With you on the other prospects you got to learn under fire.
Is Vuko in the backroom at all up there ?

GK coach

Pavlesic 23 - I don't rate at all
Ajanovic 17 - still very green
Wade 20 - played later in the NPL season - looks decent. Looked about the level Beach did at our Academy

beach doesn't look like he will reach big 5 level to me. But hope I'm wrong. He does look decent though

Wiggle as you call him, is a terrible all-round Goalkeeper who cost SFC a lot of points these past few seasons.

Sutho
I hadn’t said anything regards his performances you notice just being an old head amongst younger keepers is valuable to a smaller club like ccm.
They got Vuko as pj mentions now I rate that fella muchly !

Danny V, was the best goalkeeper in SFC history.

I think that he is probably the best of the GK under 25. Whether he makes it into the big 5, unlikely I agree. He definitely needs to improve his distribution otherwise he ticks all the boxes.

Anywhere but Gosford is better than Gosford. Some nice beaches about 15-20 minute drive from the stadium.

hehe very true - good punt - I'm a 23min drive from a nice beach to gossi that'll do me.
I'm a 4 minute drive looking over farmland and State Forest - that'll do me. 30 min drive to probably 15 nice beaches.
