2025/26 A league season

I reckon a late fixture release is going to add some extra hype to the season launch. Feels like everything will start rolling soon. I'm really at ease with the WU stuff taking time. I'd rather the right decision than a rushed one.

Due to the variance in number of games played, points per game shines a bit of a different light on that list.

  2. SFC—1.63
  3. MV—1.53
  4. MC—1.52
  5. AU—1.44
  6. BR—1.41
  7. WU—1.4
  8. WSW—1.37
  9. GCU—1.34
  10. CCM—1.31
  11. MAC—1.31
  12. WP—1.28
  13. PG—1.24
  14. NJ—1.19

Oh, the bitter Victory supporters who are unable to accept SFC as # 1 in A league and national league history.

Not at all. SFC clearly the best A-League results over the course of AL history.
I was more shining a light on the fact that clubs like WSW and MC have performed better than that table would suggest.
Also, why is there such a discrepancy in games played for the clubs that have been there from the beginning? Shouldn't they all have the same number of games played?

I thought that too but then perhaps it includes finals?

I am sure they have included the final series games in the list.

WSW have only won ,one more game than they have lost, hardly great, oh and no championships either.

Agreed strange overall table.......
Put aside the johnny come latelys just checked the original starters - excl the Knights gone all the rest should all be on the same games played you'd think - or is this shwoing typical unique oztralia not having typically 1 H 1 A game for some do/have played 3 times as season - maybe thats the conflict ?
Adelaide United, the Central Coast Mariners, the Melbourne Victory, the Newcastle Jets, the New Zealand Knights, Perth Glory, the Queensland Roar, and Sydney FC.

I'd say whoever put the table together at the APL was either being lazy or was told to just smash out some content asap.
Auckland played 26 regular season games and 1 finals game, yet the table says 28.

yer ok fellas - apart from trophy hauls by club without clarity from the APL we can only assume so much.

Two finals games. The semi was over two legs
