I think they have the best pyramid in the country, open all the way down the tiers. 14 teams is perfect, 2.5 to 3 pro/rel is perfect. Unsure if it's the driving force but it's the first thing I notice.

This is true re the pyramid. Goes to show what’s made easier when geography isn’t as much of a factor. If Australia was similarly sized/as densely populated as a European country, I dare say all this discussion of pro rel, pyramids, second national second division etc would be moot. Not to say they’re not obstacles that can’t be overcome, but it doesn’t help

Qld is gonna queensland
NSW they're all too busy having sex with each other in toilet blocks
SA is cute, quaint and tries bless them.
WA have too much money doing fuck all to worry about football
Tasmania - decentric is working on it.

And Victorians - everything else is fucked so we had to do something right. Law of averages.

I get a sense that Melbourne spends more on players?

probably just edge it over quality you would say.

100 fans travelling for a second division is surely a pretty big indicator that this thing has legs?
 
Without being a horrendous forecast for fri/sat it has worsened slightly according to BOM. Shouldn’t be too much of an issue on the weekend but definitely a bit if precipitation about Friday evening which is annoying re the lack of cover from the elements at Marconi as I was saying the other day. Fingers crossed it doesn’t take too many off the crowd numbers

Apart from Souths, Preston and APIA (with the help of SU58), don't think any have been "impressive".

Similar to when Aleague started, initial crowds were always going to high for first couple of games.
