The Australian Championship 🇦🇺🏆

Apart from Souths, Preston and APIA (with the help of SU58), don't think any have been "impressive".

Similar to when Aleague started, initial crowds were always going to high for first couple of games.
Still reckon that if the foundation clubs can just maintain crowds equivalent to the higher end of what they get in npl even that will be ok, and that’s basically what the crowds have been so far. The crowds Sydney united have gotten for bigger npl games when the weather is favourable and the scheduling is good are decent. Marconi thus far the crowds have been similar to ones you’d get for a season opener re a random club in npl but scheduling hasn’t been ideal, Olympic when the weather is good and the clubs doing well can get decent crowds ala the friendly v south last year. And we all know about Preston and south. Point being these aren’t ridiculous overextended and unmaintainable crowds which will drop off dramatically, they’re just an improvement on baseline

Agreed, had zero expectations for the non foundations clubs. Any crowd for them is a good crowd imo.

I'm wearing my 90's/2k retro jackets again ( Lotto,Umbro,Diadora,Adidas,Puma ) to Australian Championship games again. My daughter tells me "I'm on point" fashion wise. It's win/win.
When my dad went back to Italy for Italia 90 he brought back about a half dozen soccer related and non soccer related tracksuits for my nonno and they were basically what he lived in for the remainder of his years, some classic numbers. Wish I still had them

probably the only exception is Heidelberg given that the likes of them and Adelaide city etc were touch and go re being foundation clubs for a long time and may still be going forward

My daughter showed me the "Depop" ( Gen Z with meaningless app names ) clothing app it's full of them at the moment.

I meant impressive in comparison to their normal levels... Any club, getting 1,000 through the gates when they would ordinarily get 200-300 during a normal NPL matchday is proof of concept for me...

If the sample size was say 5 or 6 games, then sure, but not 1 or in some cases 2 games thus far.

Take Bayswater, MetroStars, Broadmedow, Moreton, Canberra, NWS Spirit and South Hobart for example, I would bet the majority of up tick in attendances (especially in game 1) would be from fans of other clubs who are there to check out new league etc and dont have other NPL matches on at the same time. Again, if you get the same crowds in 5/6 games, then yes.

At this point, it seems like only Victorian clubs care about this comp.

100% This comp is 3 rounds old...... and even 6 rounds is a crappy sample size to gauge of but.... its all we are gonna get for some of the bottom finishing clubs .. at least this year.
