2025 Australia Cup final rounds thread

It should be played at a neutral venue, like in most countries.
I am happy for the lower tier team to host the Cup final.

It continues to make the Cup all welcoming which is no small thing.

If the lower tier "home" team chose to have it played at the higher tier ground for crowds and revenue purposes it could be a smart move financially regardless of giving up the home advantage.

If, as you say , you want football to be the same as the rest of the world, then you need to stop the loaded draw, and go to an open draw, where whoever comes out the hat first is the home team.
Yes, this is aimed at you Libelous, as you won't allow me to respond directly to your hidden post.

Jets pushing hard for NSW based final as they should.......Bergers should be pushing just as hard to play it in Melbourne...

Lakeside is a 12k stadium that could easily host this with good numbers!

Correct me If im wrong but Jets crowds range between 4 to 8k.during the season at home & their Au Cup crowd high is 2.1k....Bergers will pull a same crowd as the Jets home high end in a final guaranteed!

Held in Melb its more likely to have neutral fans that will watch it (MV, City) than will travel from Sydney to watch it in Newcastle! Newcastle fans arent renowned for travel in numbers anyway if it goes to a neutral venue in NSW. It doesnt make sense to hold it there when you can sell it better down here.

The idea behind Newy hosting is obviously to help them get a trophy which in turn would be hoped to boost membership and crowd metrics for the upcoming season.

As a spectacle Melbournians would appreciate this match more, we've never had a local club reach the final, it would also be a big boost for the npl to host this with the championship starting the following week.

I believe heidelberg should host this at its ground, but see the Lakeside merit as a central location would attract more neutrals.

Well done to the Jets for making the final, and a great effort by Avendale in pushing into a great contest.

I think it’s going to be a great final, who wins depends on who players better on the day.

Why did WSW let Badolato go? He and the likes of Burgess give them so much control and creativity into the final third, with an improving Adams along with the likes of Taylor, Rose and the Japanese winger in attack I think they could be a threat for top 6 this season.

I'd be happy if they host it at a neutral venue like Central Coast Stadium. It would draw a larger Heidelburg (or at least anti--Jets) fan base than Newcastle fans.

So you judge on 1 match a matrix in canbra.
That makes business sense.
