I'd say the offside goal correctly ruled out and the handball in he box correctly given possibly change the outcome. Its all in the aftermath so can be seen as sour grapes, but make no mistake pivotal game changing decisions constantly went against us.

The USA still deserved the win too btw.

Tony Popovic's tactical system failed us today and inconsistent refereeing decisions going against us didn't help either.

I ve watched many League games I d say 99% wouldnt give it. Ball and hand were too close to avoid.
 
Diabolical decision to have Leckie in the squad let alone start a game. I didn't actually realise how little football he's played this year until I just went and looked. If the stats are correct he's played 169 minutes of club football in 2026, 120 of those in one game

Popa knew it but wanted to use his experience. Maybe still have that solo goal against Denmark in his head and thought he could do it again.

Yeah he saw , yes it touched the hand. But it was too close and couldn't be avoided. I watched many games with similar incidents like this and the ref wouldn't give it.

Maybe if Australia is playing against arab teams in Arab the ref will give it

Yeah they capitalised on our mistakes, they really didn't have much other than those two opportunities which is a shame, as we were so defensively solid against Turkey.

Too close? watch the whole footage, ball was in the air for an eternity with the defender challenging with his back to the direction of the ball.
