I rate Schwarzer way beyond any of the others. In fact, I'd rate Schwarzer as our greatest Socceroo. (Timmy next on impact; Harry next on talent - although Mooy is up there also.)

I can't rate Bosnich among this company because he never did well against top teams - like Ryan and Schwarzer did. Most of Bozza's matches were against minnows.

I think Bosnich was our best ever shot stopper but he had some issues with the ball at his feet and with his distribution. When they banned keepers picking up the ball when passed back by a team mate Bosnich struggled to adapt.

I played against Terry Greedy (I think) in a Central Coast O35s match a few years back. Our keeper got injured so I went into goals and almost immediately had to pull off a flying save from a diving header.

At half time Terry Greedy ran up to me and said: "Mate, that's one of the best fuckin' saves I've ever seen."

I think it was Terry Greedy, but whoever it was... Socceroo who played for the Fossils.

One of my more cherished memories.

He’s explained this in an interview. Originally people took the piss out of him by saying he keeps like he’s drank “sevenish beers”, but Sky Blues fans turned it into a humorous nickname and he loves it.
