Hey Fab!!! Welcome to the forum and congrats to your sister!!!

We’d love to grow the women’s space. Other than Tillies games it’s mostly just me and Reb Fem at the moment.
Thanks!

Yeah she's had a killer season this year, I'm really poud of her. I only wish I was half as dedicated to the game as her. Alas it's just club football for me haha

Definitely keen on growing the women's space - though as you can see I'm not the most frequent visitor I'm afraid 😅

Been around about a year or so but thought I would add some background stuff on me.

Currently 65YO. Been a football fan all my life but at times it was my second or 3rd sport. Played until around age 14 but unfortunately I was a football player trapped in a Rugby forwards body and switched to playing the Rugby Codes (mainly league but a bit of union) through the rest of my junior footballing days. After starting work at 18YO I also did an Engineering course at Wollongong Uni part time which made it very difficult to keep playing. Ended up becoming a referee in Rugby League in my local area as I could train in my own time and still keep actively involved. Always had an interest in coaching and became a long term referee coach in my locality. Many years of service led me to gain Life Membership of both the local referees Association and the local Rugby League Division. Always maintained a very strong interest in football attending all the international matches that I could over the years, my first important one being the qualifier in Sydney against South Korea for the 1974 World Cup. Retired in my early 60's and after the Covid disruptions decided that I would attend every home Socceroos game I could and Starting with the Bahrain game at the gold coast I've since been to every home game. Only been to one World Cup and saw our 3 group games in Germany 2006. Not sure if it's worth the cost to attend one these days and my trip earlier this year to Las Vegas for the NRL matches there with some mates convinced me another trip to the USA isn't worth it. Other sporting interests are mainly horse racing and I have had small shares in a number of race horses over the years. Owning racehorses is an expensive hobby and don't expect to make money from it. I also turn up on the golf course regularly and chase the ball around a bit (when I can find it).

I've been reading the forum for ages now thought i would starting posting now.

Came here in 93 as a 7yo - like other Cros quickly started attending Syd United games and fell in the love in the game esp after 96/97 season with Popa, Milicic, Zdrila & Marusic and co. Mainly played park soccer during this time.

Post NSL got disillusioned with the game, watched a bit of the early United FNSW days and then lost interest. Started to come back during early Aus Cup days.

Then when my son starting playing, I starting coaching his U6 team at Syd United Juniors. Then really caught the bug again and fell in love with NPL football. My son now U12 Sydney United JDL - so have spent a lot of nights at King Tom during the last couple of years.
