Hi Benjamin and all the old crowd,
Good to be back with you all once again, thanks Benjamin for letting me know about this forum.
A big thanks to those who set up this forum, well done. I had been wondering what happened to the 442 Forum.
I'm not sure how long since I last posted on the 442 forum, but it must be a few years.
Been an interesting last 6 years I'd guess.
In the interim, spent 2019 as South Melbourne FC Admin Manager, did a tour of U16's to Holland thanks to Michael Valkanis, hibernated over COVID. Was on 3XY Radio sports show on Sunday nights over that time, a six year stint with Peter Kotsiris, Ange Koutos and Kosta Paterakis, finished October 2024. Got very tired of it, and I did interview some amazing people, not least James Johnson. Did some Match Commentary as well.
In my former role as a Football Victoria voting zone member, I was able to convince the rest of the members to vote ourselves out of existence and return the constitution were every club that qualifies is a now a voting member, other clubs are associate members. From that I was able to walk away from the game with my head held high, time for others to take up the baton.
Finally my good friend Kokki at Oakleigh Cannons offered me a role overseeing Community teams boys and girls and that has been a great adventure over 2024 and 2025.
And now landed on the Green and Gold Forum.
Welcome to the forum! Always loved your insight and passion and glad to have you back!

Welcome back !!! Glad Ben came along as well and reached out to you Arthur.
Great seeing fellow passionate local football devotees in any shape or form.
Look forward seeing your pov and Ben’s once he gets back on the game.

Welcome, Arthur.

Interesting recount of your football involvement.

Hello,

I was invited from the Matildas Reddit, you can call me Fab.

I've played football my whole life, but have never been a watcher until my little sister decided she wanted to go pro. My first Tillie's game was at Penrith in 2017, and I watched a few Dub games and remember seeing Elli Carpenter playing for WSW.

Nowadays I am a player loyalist rather than a club loyalist - my sister made it pro! But I no longer live in Sydney so I can't watch as many games as I'd like - I still managed to go to Aus VS Korea and the grand final against Japan during the Asian Cup though!

To be honest, watching still isn't a big thing for me - I'd rather be playing! - but I do still enjoy it.

Sorry if that's too in depth/rambly for here, I don't know how active I'll actually be, but I do love a nice forum :)
