The bitterness is strong in this one...Id rather they just make it through and get knocked out by Iran....
The runners-up of Group D and Group G play each other in Arlington. The only problem is Iran will be almost certainly third in Group G because they’re better than the All Whites but they’re not as good as Belgium or Egypt. But hey, the World Cup is full of surprises!Id rather they just make it through and get knocked out by Iran....
Iran are ranked higher than Egypt - I think 2nd place is definitely in play. The runners-up of Group D and Group G play each other in Arlington. Wow, imagine that! Would be huge. They played each other back in 1998 WC.Iran are ranked higher than Egypt - I think 2nd place is definitely in play.
I reckon there would be a few particular Socceroos that would be especially fired up to beat the US. Irvine immediately comes to mind.Nothing would be sweeter than to see the US go out in the group stage. It would bring even more joy to the masses than England failing to win another tournament.
New Zealand should be able to get a result against Iran at the World Cup especially given that Chris Wood is back at full fitness for them and they'll likely be naming the strongest available playing list which has managed to get the job done against South American opposition, along with an Ivory Coast side that were the reigning AFCON champions at the time.Iran wont beat New Zealand fact!.
Chile aren’t that good though to be fair.New Zealand should be able to get a result against Iran at the World Cup especially given that Chris Wood is back at full fitness for them and they'll likely be naming the strongest available playing list which has managed to get the job done against South American opposition, along with an Ivory Coast side that were the reigning AFCON champions at the time.
I guess so but rankings aren’t always accurate. Egypt have Omar Marmoush and Mo Salah who by themselves more expensive than Iran’s entire squad.Iran are ranked higher than Egypt - I think 2nd place is definitely in play.

It does seem silly. They've got a friendly against Ghana in Mexico then have to go all the way California to play us. We've 'won' the arrangements there.Off topic but why don't mexico play in err Mexico?
Probably money. I bet they get more in ticket sales in the US at a big stadium with ex-pats buying in USD.Off topic but why don't mexico play in err Mexico?
It's exactly that. They'll get a crowd anywhere in the USA and something of a pre tournament event for their US based fans would only be fitting.Probably money. I bet they get more in ticket sales in the US at a big stadium with ex-pats buying in USD.
