The coach explicitly said he would pick Donnarumma + the U21 team. Volpato is 22. Every player selected bar Donnarumma is born in 2004 or later. Volpato was born in 2003.

I would strongly disagree. The Eredivisie is much weaker today than it was in its halcyon days. The Belgian league is considerably stronger than the Eredivisie today, for example.

Brattan is hugely underrated. It's almost criminal that he will retire having played for Australia only once. He was just about the best player in the A-League this season, people are just so used to him being good that it doesn't register anymore.

he was playing 20s at spirit earlier this season. his career demise is very sad. he had one of the highest ceilings of any australian player in the last 10 years.
