Sign Up Now!When I watched the replay, I think she was pushed in the back, hard, by her opponent, straight into the other Kiwi player! The push was the original foul.Just watched the highlights. Surprised they allowed that first goal. Looks like Raso took out the defender.
I was at the game, the girls dominated. Burned a lot of good chances could easily have won 6 or 7-0 with the chances burned.I watched the whole 2nd game, where Aus won 2-0.
Kiwis played better. The Kiwi number 4, CJ Bott , was a good ball winner. There was another tall, dark haired Kiwi defender, who ostensibly plays for Melb Vic, and who was a quality defender too.
I thought it was a decent performance by Aus, whilst the Kiwis played better using a 4-3-3.
I think both Wheeler and Torpey have improved, since the last time I saw them.
Foord had a lot of close attempts on goal too.
Wheeler made a few timely intercepts from reading the play well, was particularly neat on the ball in tighter spaces and was both sides of the body proficient. She often took her first touch away from Kiwis effectively and impressively.
Bott tackled her effectively from behind on 1 occasion, but should probably have a shout from a teammate 'Man On', with, 'Woman On,' being too long. Wheeler also got through a fair amount of work too.
Off forum a few I know claim Carpenter has gone to another level with her recent club stint at Chelsea benefiting her.
Joe M has them playing better football IMO, than Tony G.
Good on you attending!I was at the game, the girls dominated. Burned a lot of good chances could easily have won 6 or 7-0 with the chances burned.
I thought it was about 20k?Official attendance 15,097 at Hindmarsh Stadium for the last Matildas game of the year.
15000 is pretty much every seat takenI thought it was about 20k?
It looked full.
Just watched it again. She isn't pushed. She has one hand on her, but that is taken off quickly. No push or shove. When I watched the replay, I think she was pushed in the back, hard, by her opponent, straight into the other Kiwi player! The push was the original foul.
On that info, Zimbos, which is different from my impression, it shouldn't have been a goal then.Just watched it again. She isn't pushed. She has one hand on her, but that is taken off quickly. No push or shove.
I was never not going to be there.Good on you attending!
Good crowd.
Aus definitely missed a few chances. The Kiwis had a couple too.
15k is capacity for Hindmarsh; anything above that is over the official capacity. See the figures quoted in the "History of Soccer in SA 1902-2002".15000 is pretty much every seat taken
capacity is only 16500 - 17000 depending on how many they let in for standing room

We obviously don't make a decision that matters, but if they gave a foul, I'd be 100% ok with the decision. We'd agree to disagree, but I don't see a shove at all.On that info, Zimbos, which is different from my impression, it shouldn't have been a goal then.
For mine, it looked like a shove propelled Raso into the Kiwi defender and knocked her over.
Really?cheers… been a long time lurker since way back in the early 442 days
I'm not saying I'm correct and you are wrong, Z.We obviously don't make a decision that matters, but if they gave a foul, I'd be 100% ok with the decision. We'd agree to disagree, but I don't see a shove at all.
I think looking back at the highlights there doesn't seem to be a shove on Raso as Foster tried to go for the shepherd, and the subsequent collision between her and Meikayla Moore would have been deemed accidental by the referee anyway. We obviously don't make a decision that matters, but if they gave a foul, I'd be 100% ok with the decision. We'd agree to disagree, but I don't see a shove at all.
