Frank is a decent manager but it appears it's another case of having arguably better players and luxury not working. Brentford were an underdog and had to lift and find ways to exploit the opponent and they did that well except for one season.Iāve watched Tottenham this season, and there are the same issues as were present under Ange last season. If you look at Franks side stats for expected points, spurs are bottom half this season. You can only overachieve for so long, as it requires players to be overly clinical which always averages out in the end.Exactly. When it comes to getting results over time the track record is sound.
No denying there are issues in his set up but give him time and windows to work and you're in with a very good shot.
I was saying this when everyone was glazing Frank at the start of the season. The performances haven't been good, therefore results average out eventually.
Bit like myself being better on FIFA with 65-75 rated players and not the 80 plus crowd.
I think some managers simply work better with a group required to lift rather than a pampered bunch.
