Two matches is the minimum suspension for violent conduct so Genreau is lucky to only be getting two matches when he could have gotten suspended for more.

I expected more than 2 matches. It was such a deliberate attack it deserved worse.

2 matches for me is the two old bulls glaring face to face and one drops his forehead a bit to make contact.

Well they didn’t in round 3 where they conceded after 20 odd seconds

Does anyone know if teams adjust their play style much depending on their opponents?

I wonder that too.

Most often you hear managers saying "we'll continue to play our way and focus on ourselves" when they are asked such things.

As supporters we see our teams strengths and weaknesses and we think we see the ways that we can play differently to beat our next opponent - like planning to specifically beat the Nix highline or countering the Melbourne City press with fast ball movement, triangles and long balls.

In practice, maybe the teams do just continue to play how they have trained since it cannot be all that solid to mix and match your game style and risk a player doing the wrong thing and exposing your goal.

I think Sutherlandbear has probably got it right with the tweaking - although when he says "tweak wee bits" I am not sure he understands the images that may conjure...
