Was at the game. Carpenter is a defensive machine but can't cross or pass in the final third to save her life.

Amy Sayer was terrific and Gorry non stop.

A lot of fun but I think we should have tried to get better opponents to test them seeing the Asian cup is closing in fast.

Many of the better Asian opponents already had games for the November/December window locked in earlier in the year unfortunately, but I do agree that we should have had better opposition to serve as a litmus test for squad quality especially less than a hundred days out from the Women's Asian Cup.

If this is the squad Pepe's picked then while I still think we're a good chance of winning it, I would be more confident if he let me pick the squad. I'm pretty close to finalising my thoughts on who should make it provided there is no injuries.

He did say there were others he was considering so hopefully he considers those others. We need a good, young squad to play the best football we can that will not only win us the Asian Cup but also see us play entertaining football.
