What sort of crowds we thinking?

Avondale 2k?
Bergers 3k? (Will probably be 1k, but these blokes will inflate).
APIA 7k?
Hellas 7K?

Probably as pass mark if those were achieved.

I usually prefer to sort by "median". It puts less importance on outliers, so a "bad weather" match or an advantageous local derby won't skew the result as much, for good or bad. It's more in line with the crowd you could expect week to week (although three matches isn't a lot to go by). Below are the attendances for each match. Seven foundation clubs at the top in green, local derbies in peach.

Who came up with the SMFC crowd on match day 5, in the worst weather this century ? Even some SMFC fans on here doubted there was more than a thousand.

I said 1200 max and that included the non visible corporate area which was packed.

Lakeside can be a bit misleading because of the size of the main grandstand but not to that extent.

I think APIA v Marconi, pretty average weather/rain forecast, but the venue is relatively element resistant compared to other championship venues as I’ve said, decent amount of cover in the main grandstand..I reckon they’d be hoping for around 5k

APIA got 4.5k first game, Marconi average approx 2.5k

So I thought 7k would have been realistic

I would like that to be the case, but I think 5k is a more realistic target. As I say, that 4.5k in round 2 was a mix of APIA and Sydney united fans. Don’t forget that was before Sydney united had fully imploded in this comp and their support hadn’t started to stay away yet. We shall see

FA official crowd numbers are intix ticket sales plus 15% to cover corporates, children, staff and volunteers. This is apparently the same formula used for national teams

We employing the genius that counts the crowds at the AL matches! He seems to be doing a bang up job counting those crowd numbers... you know all those ones that pack ontop of eachotger but arr camera shy!

Tell me hows the proven number fudging going at your end of the woods this year? Sydney fc counted a few 100k at a game yet or saving it for a plastic derby?

Biggest derby in Australian football history. No fudging needed at Sydney, if anything, i often think they understate, never mind overstate as your lot did.

Let the rage go, not your fault that your club could never reach the heights, attendance wise of SFC, oh, and national titles either. :ROFLMAO:

I attended the Magic vs Olympic game on Sunday with two others from Melbourne. We were up there for work. Could count the Olympic fans with my hands.
Unsurprising tbh given the fact it was a dead rubber and the situation Olympic are in. Newcastle is a deceptively annoying away trip from Sydney, essentially requires all day travelling. 2.5 hours each way. Can certainly be done, but you have to be keen and motivated
