My match is on Saturday, and i finish too late on Friday to make the APIA-Wests game.

I question attendances all over the world, as most count season ticket holders whether they show up or not. It is plain corruption. They sell these numbers to sponsors and gain an unfair advantage.

Well if thats the case i will defer on my criticism regarding your deep desire to rigjt the wrong that is figure fudging in the championship... Just a quick snippet of where you questioned the AL crowds and ill forgo the need for an NPL membership at the door!

End of the day it will be what it is.... its a derby with a semi final at stake im sure it will braw a bigger crowd than NPL proper and thats the want.

yep and thats it in nutshell - the more the better than regular attendances, its good thing bugger debating and comparing.
Its a win win for NPL as far as I'm concerned having been in the dark on our own for so long.

If we can attract a crowd of at least 4K on Sunday, that would be a great outcome. The club is having a President's lunch function before the match and a pub band for pre-match entertainment on the ground.

Just need the weather to hold off hopefully.

All well and good, but i am waiting for the vigour in posts same as per this thread regarding the champiinship but across the AL threads regarding crowds!

As with here though i find it interesting you question the championship ovrrall and the figures every club game, but with the AL its only a few clubs,
Hard to argue SMFC do it and Sydney fc dont, isnt it?

If it helps entice you and if the meeting is in the cbd, Leichhardt is a short Uber ride from the city/airport. Only problem with Leichhardt is that it’s just generic stadium food, imo APIA should organise some food trucks or something

Ohh Austtalia vs Greece friendly had 95103 @ MCG and was blue and white throughout, does that make Melbourne, Athens on your theory?

Also attended this, great occasion. straight after the qualification/peak Socceroos mania, Greece coming off the euro win. Would have got 100k if the MCG redevelopment was finished, wasn’t 100% compete at that stage, sold out in minutes. Great goal by skoko. Remember the scenes with the Greek fans at the airport/training at bob jane

I’ll be going regardless, I think it’ll be a strong crowd, but obviously it’ll be bigger the better the weather is

Went to the training at bob jane, main grandstand was packed. Shame 10 years later only got 33,000, Sydney actually had bigger crowd. Think MCG redevelopment was done, we hosted the commonwealth games just before it.
