I like oniell. Its hard to blame anyone individual when watching the replay. There were a lot of team issuesHope so mate. I'll be livid if O'Neill starts again when he has Devlin and Balard to be picking.

It wasn't that he was worse than anyone else particularly. Apart from Beach, they were all pretty poor. More that we have reasonable depth in defensive midfield, so I find it annoying that he constantly calls on O'Neill in such a blinkered way. He'll dish out caps to players so randomly who scarcely deserve it, but guys like Devlin and Balard have been performing consistently and strongly for an extended time but are regularly overlooked.I like oniell. Yeah team issues resulting from pathetic selections - gee we could have really used Triantis yesterday!!! Thanks Tony - A league level coach at best.I like oniell. Its hard to blame anyone individual when watching the replay. There were a lot of team issues
Triantis would've been ideal to drop back into a back 3 or be the midfielder. Robertson in Balard and Robertson in front of him. Would never happen under Popovic.Yeah team issues resulting from pathetic selections - gee we could have really used Triantis yesterday!!! Thanks Tony - A league level coach at best.
Personally i dont think triantis makes much difference. You do seem to need time in poppas system and adjust to rapidly transferring from a 541 defensive shape to opening passing lanes in a 343.Yeah team issues resulting from pathetic selections - gee we could have really used Triantis yesterday!!! Triantis is a very smart footballer a la Ballard and Metcalfe. Others technically are good but have no idea what is required by them to react to situations. Unfortunately Poppa likes people that are doing exactly what he wants all the time. Some tight discipline is required so that you don't get DMs like James Holland constantly not doing his defensive duties but they also need to think for themselves within the structure. Bos would make a difference because he can dribble through a whole team, negating the complexities of the system. Circati souttar and burgess would make a difference since they habe good passing range which can bipass the press and have quick handling speed. That means you can pass the ball backwards more safely if there are no forward options
It’s not rocket science when you lack a lot of possession your midfield is missing let alone even when you do recover ball deep in own half is then also having players with ability/skill and movement turning defense into attack. For me we lost the central midfield, the dm's sat to deep and there was a disconnect between transitioning or attacking players. As Decentric alluded to, it also meant or press from them was nonexistent. It made it hard for everyone else.
Izzo can't lose. He's had his good games and even if he has his bad games he's allowed a degree of error until questions are asked. As Colombia are going to hit the target a lot it's right to see Izzo party those away.Be interesting to see what keeper starts.
If it’s Izzo you’d guess Ryan is done.
Beach had a great game, and tbh I knew little about him. After the game the other night I’d be happy for him or Izzo
You’re new compared to some of us, ehinteresting tracy holmes is getting more and more involved with football
a little surprised given her mainstream background. Did she fall in love with the game? Is she from a network that has a football stake?
Never knew that! You’re new compared to some of us, ehShe was part of the SBS
️ crew in the late ‘90s
I assume you haven’t heard of Mieke Buchan or Stephanie Brantz then..Never knew that!
