Matilda's abroad

Katrina Gorry starts for West Ham as captain in their WSL game against Everton. Clare Wheeler starts for Everton, also as captain, meaning that Matildas players are captaining both sides.

Courtney Nevin starts for Malmo in their Damallsvenskan game against Vittsjo. Daniela Galic not in the matchday squad altogether for Vittsjo.

Ellie Carpenter starts for Chelsea in their WSL game against Liverpool. Sam Kerr not in the matchday squad altogether for Chelsea.
Got excited when I saw Sam Kerr but turns out it was the Scottish one at Liverpool, not the Aussie one at Chelsea. Sonia Bompastor’s a fool for making Sam rest this game simply because we coulda had two Sam Kerrs in one game.

It's likely a tactical decision for Bompastor to be giving Sam Kerr a rest this week because Liverpool are winless in WSL and Chelsea have a UWCL game against Barcelona midweek.

Hayley Raso on the bench for Eintracht Frankfurt in their DFB-Pokal Frauen round of 16 game against Hoffenheim. Jamilla Rankin not in the matchday squad altogether for Hoffenheim.

Amy Sayer and Remy Siemsen both start for Kristianstads in their last Damallsvenskan game of season 2025 against Alingsas.
Lots of parallels with last season:

* Kristianstad's last game of the 2024 season was against last-placed Trelleborg (that time away)
* Kristianstad's last game of the 2025 season will be against last-placed Alingsås (this time at home)

Kristianstad beat Trelleborg 5–0 in that game and Remy Siemsen got a hat-trick. Fingers crossed we see another hat-trick from her!

Aivi Luik starts for newly crowned premiers Hacken in their last Damallsvenskan game for season 2025 against Pitea.

Polly Doran starts for relegated Linkoping in their last game in Damallsvenskan against Rosengard.

Jada Whyman not in the matchday squad altogether for AIK in their Damallsvenskan game against Norrkoping.

Steph Catley starts for Arsenal as captain in their WSL North London derby game against Spurs. Caitlin Foord and Kyra Cooney-Cross also start for Arsenal. Clare Hunt starts for Spurs. Charli Grant on the bench for Spurs.

Winonah Heatley serving a one-match suspension and not in the matchday squad altogether for AS Roma in their Serie A Women game against Lazio.

Amy Sayer played 57 minutes and scored in the 42nd minute for Kristianstads in their 7-1 Damallsvenskan win over bottom-placed Alingsas. Remy Siemsen also played 57 minutes, scoring a hat-trick with goals in the 2nd and 39th minute, and a converted penalty in the 35th minute before being subbed off.
