Socceroos vs Canada/USA Oct 25

Yeah well now I'm even more confused.

I need to find a Q and A where the shirt is pulled when it's a SPA AND an advantage is played and then what happens next.

But I'm not sure why you'd go back and give a YC if it was a genuine attempt, albeit 'reckless'.

Confused reckless with 'careless'.

Correct @Keeper66

Reckless. Deffo a YC.

Change the Laws:
1/ If the ref thinks someone has done some dodgy stuff they get a yellow card
2/ If the ref thinks someone has done bad shit they get a red card
3/ If the ref thinks someone has handled a ball inappropriately or they have gained an advantage by it, it is handball.

Guidelines/Clarification:
Players will be required to play with commonsense and a responsible attitude and expect to be penalised if they do dodgy stuff or bad shit.
If the ref thinks someone has done the wrong thing with their hands or arms then they have.
The refs judgement is correct at all times, but they can change their minds and apply a different judgement if they choose to.

Fixed.

Feels like the second Ecuador friendly. The payers know bigger games are coming. Have a hit out, reflect, return healthy to club.

When he played 24 minutes as a sub against Indonesia? His international appearances have all been as subs, and against the might of Lebanon and Bangladesh plus Indonesia. I don't see him as an international level player.
That was in the year he was voted best player in the AL and also led the CCM to an Asian trophy.

He was the senior partner (out of he and Balard) and Balard is now one of the first picked.

Superb player being ripped off by Popa's apart-height policy.

And now Balard is doing very well in the Eredivisie. Nisbet playing in the level below, after struggling to get a club after leaving Ross County.

While Nisbet is not a bad player, unfortunately a player who is 5’2” needs to be much better than he is to cut it in high level internationals.

I think better still spanish.
He's making his mark though @ just 22yrs, he keeps to form and avoids injury I reckon sky is the limit.
EPL scouts must be watching.

Mr C, why do you think he's playing level below Balard though ?
Cream bubbles to the top whats happenned from your outlook ?

Sorry to spam the page.

@Keeper66 @NicCarBel

I'm reading this as a YC even though advantage was played. This is from the IFAB app. 2024/2025 laws because we don't play under the new laws until next season. I haven't looked up what they're playing now but I will.

You guys need a ref/laws of the game thread. It's interesting reading.

Not an unreasonable claim:

Exactly.
Ryan, Irish= 20p
Miller, American= UFC contract
Degenek, Serbian= 15m
Souttar, Scottish= way more EPL interest
Circati, Italian= 75m

Nisbet did more to link up play and get the opponent staggered in 15min against Indonesia than O'Neill has since his 2nd cap. Nisbet has great movement that forces opponents to move around which creates space and chances.

Good on D'Agostino for having a go but again another weird one of getting a start when other players have had to wait longer. Maybe in different positions. Disappointed for Devlin and if such lower names get starts then Elder being on a shortlist isn't impossible.

It was an odd call up. D'Agostino has been back from.long term injury for whatvfeels like 5 mins. I think the thought process is okay in termd of s hard pressing forward who can head the ball, if thats what Popovic is after. He fits that profile. But has zero form and it showed. It should have been Sapsford or Stama picked, and may have been more sharp.

The first USA goal. No need for the keeper to come out when you can see how deep Burgess still is. Ryan is busy trying to cover all bases. A shot across goal needs consideration as does the near post. The shooter toe pokes it at such pace from outside the goal width allowing it to enter in the kill zone. Certainly it's reachable but less so when you're that exposed gambling on which way to go.

The second goal Ryan has his legs so far spread when the shot comes as experience shows most players scuff a shot on the floor. It's an excellent shot that when pausing each moment shows it's going across and away from the keeper until curling back at the last. It actually hits the side netting. Shift the right, you expose your near post. What then? Ridiculed again? Both goals were taken excellently and the best concede these too. Watch Neuer at the last world cup with similar close shots sneaking past.

People complimenting Ryan's post blank save as being of his own making. I'm not so sure. He positioned himself but it was like Izzo's that you make yourself big and hope for the best.

You've never properly watched him, have you.

Nizz has been pre-judged (and dismissed) on his height his whole career. He's proved the doubters wrong forever and will do so again.

The handful of minutes he played under Arnie... he was just about the best on the park.

Spot on analysis. They both saved what was possible and they both had an great save by good positioning.

If anyone keeper in the past two games it was the Canadian. Irankunda's goal came from 3 errors. Toure's assist should have been blocked, the defender shouldn't have taken a touch and the keeper was too tight to the near post.

A blip by Burgess last night. Wasn't even noticeable against Canada which suggest a fine display and he's been rock solid for a while so no need to panic.

We sort of have one but it gets buried pages back.
