Milanovic was pillored by scouts for taking too many low xg shots when there were better options

He has barely shot outside the box so he has lost his main assett. In his case the goal keepers are better shot stoppers than the a league so its less a style adjustment problem for him, which isnt that big these days, as having to deal with better goal keepers and the coach presumably trying to adapt his game for that

Players also get scape goated on the bottom of the ladder. Silvera actually gets more game time for upper table middlesborough than he did on either loan. So if a team is near the bottom it can be chaos

You really have a problem admitting that Australian footballers might not be all you think they are, don’t you ?

There will be many people who rate the A league on a par to league 2, and most will reside in Australia.
The apparent many are a select few. Those who go on about the A League like that are just know it all British migrants who are more concerned about the absence of football culture they're used to. They turn up on their high horse and can't help but compare and moan.

interestingly, scotland might be finally changing style in line with other countries

this year there have been 6 teams that are completing 300+ passes per match compared to just 3 teams in 22/23

I've noticed a gradual change of style watching players there
That's right. Once they start passing the ball more the quality will get better. This takes a longer time to develop.

I've watched League 2 for years and they have their moments and it's a great culture bit the A League is still a massive cut above in skill and conditioning. Nearly every British import admits they didn't think it'd be as tough as they thought.

You forgot to mention the NSL tragics, they have a lesser opinion of the A league than your so called “ British migrants “, the very people who made this country, although not what it is turning in to today.

Oh I had them in mind too. On the one hand Australian football has and probably will always siphon from other places but the uncivil undermining of it from places that don't have their own houses in order does my head it.

Their game may have fine traditions but for all their over the top assessment, it can't be backed up by stating it's overly better than the Australian game.

We shall agree to disagree.

interesting innovation in the eredivise today. Every time there is a stoppage during stoppage time, the sideline official puts up a sign showing the new number or additional minutes

So Middle Eastern matches may never finish?

Shouldn't be considered for national team at the moment. Try Balard and Luongo and try Kalik into the set up.
It teague starts regularly next year in the jupiler league he is still achieving that a year younger than balard and 2 years younger than oniell. So nothing to sneeze at, but he isnt there just yet
